someone said "good enough, is good enough" speaking on Playstation VR. I'm inclined to agree.
I'm just not digging the look of the PSVR Headset...

Surely playing something like that at 30fps is not going to be comfortable for any length of time?
I thought the threshold for motion sickness was meant to be in the region of <75fps?

Reprojected to120fpsIt's running at 60fps.

Right now it's just in a prototype stage. Is it gonna be an update or an entirely new game?
DriveClub VR? At the moment it's just a prototype. We don't know what we're going to do with that just yet. If it gets good reception here - which I think it will - I think that could turn into something more than just a tech demo.
Yup. This would be amazing. I love Driveclub. Driving in a lightning storm in this game at night with VR would be quite the experience.Duuuude sign me the fuck up

Well we have people who have played it and said the graphics aren't that far off from the DriveClub we play now.Just a reminder, the image on the screen is taken from ONE eye [half the screen] and transformed from fisheye form back into 2D mode.

So its half of 1080p, that was warped for PSVR, and then de-warped back in a breakout box so it can be viewed on normal HDTV. Don't analyse it too much for image quality.
Omg. I need to experience this! Please let this happen.Lightning

We got impressions yet on how it looks/feels in a VR environment?
Yes it is. In this prototype demo, DC is running at 60fps in 3D [anti-fisheye SBS] mode. This is then upscaled to 120fps [with appropriate frame warping] so that responsiveness of the head movement gets better.Does anyone know if this is 60 fps reprojected to 120?

The downgrade must be massive i guess.. i wonder what's left of the game's graphics, light etc.. But still i'm interested
If I recall correctly, it will be 60fps but reprojected to 120.Does anyone know if this is 60 fps reprojected to 120?
Happy to see Sony coming at VR strong. Get those ducks in a row.
Its 60fps, interpolated to 120 with the special magic.
This is a splintered off new version of the game. Environments are sparser and whatnot to account for the VR demand.
Reprojected to120fps
It's 60hz with reprojection to 120
Don't worry, it will be 60 fps reprojected to 120.
I do wonder how close vanilla DC runs to 60 the majority of the time if it was unlocked.
IIRC it never drops a frame below 30 even under stressful conditions

Yeah, good point -- I remember reading that Uncharted 4 demo was running at an average of something closer to 37fps, but naturally it's locked at 30 for consistency.
Eurogamer was very happy with it.

I'd like to know how this reprojection works. Does anyone know an article that is easy to understand?
