When was the last time a Bond movie flopped?
EDIT: It just had the biggest tuesday opening of all time in the UK.
Oh, I heard early review are bad?
Maybe I'm wrong then.

Crazy numbers! $399 power.
However i still thiink it won't pass 100M
i would sooner run with dqxi over ffxv for stuff like that.
i don't think either will provide a huge boost though. the ps4's nearing 2 million units now and i don't think it'll make it to 10m overall.

I don't think anyone expects PS4 to sell that much in Japan .
We are looking at a 5 million to 7 million (high end ) range for PS4 in japan by the end of the gen .
I'm waiting for Ars Technica/Kyle Orland new variant of "too early to call" with suitably doctored graphs.
If you believe that Sony don't paid for have SF V as console exclusive, I have nothing left to talk to you because your premise makes no sense for me.
I know you maybe don't want to read too much into it, but how about some $199 power a few years from now with a cost-cutting slim/super-slim ps4 and a Platinum range of the kinds of games we're about to see drop in the next 6 months? It should be possible given the hardware this time around.
Less likely/tangible, the whole PSVR stuff could be good for a few million that otherwise wouldn't materialise due to the unique appeal it could offer.
Writing off 100m right now seems too soon to call, there is potential.
Damn! Great numbers!
I think now it's definitely 2:1 shipped and sold trough compared to Xbone.
Last Holidays was over 4 million PS4 sold trough, right?
I can see a revised PS4 Slim with UHD Bluray support next year to spurt sales. It'll still be $349 though.

The weapon to fight NX next year.
What would reviews have to do with a Bond film? The franchise is essentially Teflon at this stage and due to number of entries a challenge to review anyway.Oh, I heard early review are bad?

Microsoft is doing the same thing that Sony made with PS3, investing more in first-party line up.
They have in the bag Quantum Break, Recore, Scalebound, Crackdown, Fable Legends, Sea of Thieves, Gears 4... I think they're trying better than with 360.
30m in 2 years without a price drop
I don't think Sony cares about fight NX.
right. it's basically all you can do at that point, because to secure a third-party game, you're not only paying a company's chance to make big bucks on one or more platforms extra, but potentially limiting the reach of a franchise and damaging the potential for future entries. this is different when a game wouldn't get made without some intervention, like street fighter v or bayonetta 2. but microsoft really needs to build what their 'brand' is going to be. they had a sort of a thing going last gen with halo/gears/fable/forza, but stopped building on it and let studios slip away from them.
For the players
God DAMN 👑
On the one hand it's a shame that they had to step away from phones and tv
On the other hand I hope VR does not backfire as a gamble on them

Bond films rarely make a loss (in fact I suspect they've never made a loss - lowest point was probably final Dalton film which was expensive but only performed solidly but pretty sure it made a profit) and coming of Skyfall with same team? Spectre is guaranteed to make bank.
Your seem to be reaching for potential concern with little knowledge of the Bond franchise.
Exceptional performance. While the PS4 is a failure in New Zealand.....
That's why they are behind the original Wii, They need the #4thecasuals
The problem with the 100m mark is to know how will be the sales pattern of this generation.
Sure we are all expecting a huge 2016 and a great 2017 for PS4, but then what? I doubt we are looking at the same long cycle of last gen and I don't think this is a PS2 case when the system can sell very well after the successor's launch.
I don't think Sony cares about fight NX.
I think Sony have calm expectations for PSVR. It'll be a bit expensive and the hardware is just ver 1.0 so they're playing the long game. Having this massive install base certainly helps though.
So the 29.3 is sell in, not shipped? God damn, that's huge. What's the shipped then?
They are totally going to be able to announce "over 40 million" at E3.
Ok, after a little consideration.
Using NPD and Media Create, The PS4 has Sold less than 1 million in US + JP.
...Well, i know The stronger PS4 market is The Europe and is selling great in other small market, but i HARDLY doubt PS4 Sold another over 3 million in The rest if world... This mean Sony has really shipped like crazy with The Price drop incoming.
Maybe i should change my 7.8m prediction for this quarter... Unless they will massive overship again.
Which seem likely all considering... I don't know.

Amusing thing I noticed: They shipped 700k more PS4's in Q2 this year than last despite selling ~200k less in the US in September alone.
The last time Sony shipped more than 4 million untis (sic!) of a certain console in Q2 was 10 years ago in 2005 for the PS2
I see atleast being a 6 year console cycle, and i dont see why the ps4 wouldnt sell after its successor launches,. How much did ps3/360 after nextgen console launched? probably a lot and there still not 99$ yet cause how expensive they for both company's when they launched. With the ps4 taking marketshare make back, i can see it selling a lot after its succesor comes out.

Next year the japanese market could take off, hopefully.

Playstation network sales up 57% yoy
The PS4 is so going to end up selling more than the PS1. It'll eventually become the second best-selling console of all time, I'm sure of it.
Priced around the same as a 'game console', as they put it, I highly doubt it'll move many consoles. It could sell well to the enthusiasts, but most of them have already bought a console.
Has Sony released recent info regarding PSN-driven revenue? I think that's probably the real growth driver. I can't imagine they're earning much from each individual console sell.
It's past 2 am and my brain was mixing up sell in and sell through.Sell in is shipped.
Not yet. Will probably happen in 2016.So, as far as we know, the global LTD PS4 to XBOX One ratio is now above 2:1?
