Hogan's Beach, a restaurant and bar at the foot of the Courtney Campbell Causeway in Tampa, is still open but the high-profile wrestler, Hulk Hogan's, name has been removed.

Signs flashing "Hogan's Beach" have been replaced with a plain, subdued sign that reads "Bay Harbor Hotel and Restaurant."

The change is taking people by surprise.

"I like the name. I think they should keep it. We love Hulk, c'mon now," said Ashley Feehan.

Managers declined to comment on camera.

They said they haven't been given any specifics about what's happening but an ownership change may be in the works.

Employees are being told that a "rebranding" and "renaming" is taking place.

Managers said Hogan had a licensing agreement with the restaurant but didn't own it.

Customers said dropping Hogan's name could hurt business.

"I think so, because when people see Hogan's right away they think it's Hulk Hogan and it's associated with him, and I think a lot of people come here for the vibes of it and it's going to be gone," said Liz Barbosa.

Hogan has recently come under fire after the release of a videotape where he was heard making a racial slur.

Managers said that didn't have anything to do with the decision to change the name but some customers still wonder.

"I know people still love him anyway and I know the videotape wasn't necessarily meant for everybody to see so it's an awkward situation," said Faith Whitfield.

Customers said they hope the restaurant, bar and volleyball area will stay open.

"I'll be honest, I was not here to see Hulk Hogan so I don't know if that will make a difference. Maybe to some people who thought he was going to be here they would want to be here but we were really just here to hang out, play volleyball and have a good time," said Kelly North.

Managers said more details about the future of the property could be released next week.

Is that the place with the "Pull you pants, negroes" rules?
Yup..

Haha could have just saved ink and say "no negros"
Too subtle..
starts off saying shirts and shoes are required
last rule says its a beach party so beach attire is required

who wears shoes to a beach?
Favorite part is that they'll enforce a no bandana rule. Pictured on those rules? A man wearing a fucking bandana lol..shit is all sorts of hilarious.
Not for Hulk's case, no. But it doesn't absolve these people, if that is still in place.
I'm guessing that sign won't be seen in any way ever again..

Well if the restaurant merely licensed Hogan's name; I doubt he's responsible for that sign.

So there's that! Hogan is redeemed!

Hogan needs no redemption, Hulk Hogan is just a character we can still love, we are allowed to judge and despise the person who played the character tho.

millions of places have that same dress code. I've gotten asked at bars to turn my hat forward whenever I've had it backwards (superstition when my teams losing). I've gotten denied entry for wearing workout shorts, a hoodie, plan white tee or not having a belt on all before. I've been denied for wearing my sweet ll bean boots that are apparently not "dressy" enough. These establishments are definitely trying to deny a certain crowd white or black.

With this demographic, sure. If you went to everyone on this planet with a photo of both, Pac-Man wins easily. Different discussion though.

The real controversy in this thread is this motherfucker who seriously thinks a character that hasn't been relevant in decades is more recognizable to the general public than a character with thirty years of relevancy starring in the best-selling video game franchise of all time.

He's right. The Guinness Book of World Records took an extensive poll, and while 93% of those polled recognized Mario, 94% recognized Pac-Man.

Recently, Triple H called into Greg and the Morning Buzz and discussed Hulk Hogan's departure from WWE and whether the Hulkster will ever be brought back to the company. While Triple H admitted that 2015 has been a challenging year, he said it is no different than any other.

Triple H stated that he hopes there is a day when Hogan will be welcomed back to the fold.

"For me, I hope so. It's about reinvigorating his brand and him as a human being and the confidence within the world, as to who he is. But the one thing about people in general is when somebody's on top, they want to see them fall, and when they fall, they want to see them make that comeback. They're great stories. And I think that's where people are and do I think he can be forgiven and make amends with the world and move forward? Yeah! Absolutely, but at the same point and time, for us, in that timeframe, you're putting out the message of how you'll tolerate things and how you'll react to things and we did what we needed to do and he [has] got to do what he needs to do to get himself back to that point."

So basically they admit that they only fired him as a PR move and will anxiously bring him back if he can somehow save face again. People may want to see a comeback from people who make mistakes, but going on a racist tirade isn't a mistake. It's revealing deeply rooted character flaws that people almost never change at that age. WWE deserves to fail with how backward they are and how they disgustingly accept racism and even promote it.
