Sony announces partnership w/ KojiPro, New IP, 1st game "console exclusive to PS4"/PC

That looks awesome for a studio logo :D!

This is great news that Sony stated this the moment they could; shows hope that his next project ends up being a great success and I can't wait to see its announcement.

Could see an update on this news with a teaser at E3 2016 and TGS 2016 being where he officially announces the project or something.

I'm not expecting any update for a LOOONG ass time.

This must be the announcement PS Nation said was pulled at the last minute from PSX, they did say we'd hear about it before the end of the year.

haha only the other day I was musing with my friends whether we had seen the last of the big budget, ultra polished kojima games. Looks like we'll keep getting more :D

Glad to see Kojima will finally get to work on a IP that isn't Metal Gear related (since Silent Hills wasn't close to finished, I'm discounting that). Great end of the year news!

Good on Kojima.
Has to suck to be in Phil Spenser's shoes right now...

i doubt phil spencer could've gotten kojima even if they tried as hard as sony did and had twice the money as sony to spend. kojima isn't an idiot; his fanbase is on sony consoles and his games don't sell that great on xbox consoles, even when they have mass appeal.

Honestly, that was kind of hard to watch. Even though a good chunk of Kojima's work has been exclusive to Sony, this is new; he's no longer with Konami. It's a new beginning, but all beginnings can be tough and full of unknown. And, I can't shake the feeling he got a raw deal from the Pachinko makers that Konami had become. It just feels sad.

I wish Kojima the best in all he does and I hope he continues to make amazing games.

Ok, first of all, HOLY FUCK THAT IS THE TIGHTEST LOGO I'VE SEEN IN YEARS

Second... well no that was mainly it.

I hope he's not too worn-out from dealing with Konami to apply himself to his new project, but maybe thats how he works best.

God speed you beautiful bastard, I eagerly await e3

This has to have been in the works for quite some time if the press release was ready to go pretty much the instant Konami was officially done with him. Suggests he's pitched something that sounds very favorable for Sony if they've been working this quickly.

Konami might as well open up a cocktail bar in NYC. Awesome news to hear. I hope we see an announcement sometime soon. Silent Hills was such a huge loss and this is like a revelation or new beginning to that whole situation. Silent Hills being marketed with MGSV was perfect, Konami was at the top, and it ended when they let Kojima go. This might be the best thing period and I have more ambition to buy his next game.

What a weird time we live in. Probably the past 10 or so years have just been full of weird stuff that you either didn't think would happen or just happen far faster and more public than they used to.

Please tell me that this doesn't mean the games aren't coming out on pc?

I mean, I get that Sony wants exclusives, but why do studios have to drag PC into the mess? You can still release on one console and maintain "exclusivness" while still releasing on the pc and getting even more sales from both sides.

Seems rather stupid to limit it to a one console and knock pc players out as well.
