Any predictions for Jump in 2016?

My guesses:
My Hero Academia will blow up thanks to the anime.
Nisekoi will end (maybe)
AssClass will end (more likely)
Toriko will enter the very definitely final arc (with the way its been rushed...)
Black Clover will continue being mediocre shit.
Bleach will somehow find a way to not make any progress.
Hunter x Hunter might have a chapter (this is being optimistic)
One Piece will outsell everything again (this is being obvious)

I predict 53 hxh chapters.

Soma has been ranking pretty low lately.
Maybe people just aren't a fan of rich senpai.
I stopped reading it a while ago.

I could sense it was getting stupid and moving away from what made the manga good to read in the first place. Normally I would be okay with politics, but the villains were too cartoonishly evil, the "save the girl" plot was incredibly annoying to me, and I thought the much more interesting side characters are getting shafted for Erina, who wasn't worth the effort.

So yeah, Soma will decline as long as it's mired in that.

WSJ Predictions for 2016

Nisekoi will end by the end of spring
My Hero Academia will blow up and get the rapid mainstream crowd
HXH won't come back
Bleach will still be in serialization in 2017
Shokugeki no Soma will play it safe with Soma just fighting seats
One Piece will be first place again but by a small margin due to rising stars
Gintama will be done before the summer
Toriko might end in 2016 or go to space later on

I haven't been enjoying it for a while now either, though if you asked me what made it good in the first place I probably won't be able to pinpoint it. Just haven't liked this arc.

Toriko, Nisekoi, Gintama, and Soma have been ranking low lately

Toriko was in flashback plus there are a ton of new series to compete with
Soma I guess it is how slow this is right now and how lukewarm Erina is acting
Gintama is ending but some people probably aren't reading it and or is way behind (anime only watchers)
Nisekoi (what is being ranked is that Marika arc.... which even some gaffers found to be too long)

Bleach is also ranking low but Bleach is always ranking low

My WSJ Predictions

-One Piece will continue murdering it's competition.
-Bleach will still be at the stage where fodder characters appear to be one-shotted, only to then activate their trap card.
-Boku Hero will most definitely break out thanks to its anime and especially thanks to Froppy.
-Nisekoi will end with worst girl winning RakuBowl.
-Gintama will end only for Kintama to start serialization the week after.
-Toriko will end with The Rampaging Beast onehit KOing the TorikoVerse.
-Soma will continue winning effortlessly because he's actually the son of an overpowered chef and Hisako will hopefully dethrone Erina in the polls.
-Jump will continue to start up new serializations only for 90% of them to fail miserably.
-Jump will continue to try and find its next One Piece as they realize that they can't make it go on forever.

DB Super 7

Started to sag a bit LMAO (poor Bulma)

Dragon God Zarma? Sounds like a new Omega Shinron in the making (also the dude apparently knows how to patent things) full collection of each set is from both parallel universes... in this case Uni 6 & 7 (total of 7 spheres)

Another interesting fact is how we got more info on how a saiyain body works... apparently they stay young until the age of 80 and then they begin to age

And so everyone goes off with Beerus to the tournament Gohan skipped out on due to an academic conference (lol) even though he isn't part of the fighting team since Goku is having none of that

Some extra bits like Whis coming from a planet (which means that maybe him and his sister are part of a species known to take care of Gods)

Mostly the same with i think going to happen.
Soma will still safe and stay in the middle, ranking and tankoubon sale increase during 2nd season airing.
HxH will have at least 10 chapters.
Dance battle will end (i love yokota takuma work, but i can't see it as a long running series)
One shot by to aru majutsu author will get serialization.

That's all i think

detective conan vol 85

finally revealed what happened to Shuichi Akai , that took way too fucking long since they gave just enough hints to figure it out

but hey a new black orgy character

Bleach 657

Power levels make no sense in this series. Unlike in say, One Piece, Kubo has shown these top tiers fight before and they have gotten progressively stronger for like...no reason. Yoruichi is a lazy ass, she doesn't train. She isn't even using her Zanpakuto.

One Piece 811

Sanji's new outfit looks pretty badass. Hopefully this is a redemption arc for him being shitty for the past 200 chapters. Bust out that Okama Kenpo you used once, moron. And can't you use CP9 shit now too?

Okay, so I'm considering importing some stuff. I think I've asked and got an opinion once that it was okay, but (especially for a DQ fan): is Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken worthwhile? I'm really back and forth on whether it's going to end up as something worth the investment. Also, how worthwhile is Reborn? I feel like I heard it had problems with the ending? But is it still worth reading through?

Katekyo Hitman Reborn is one of the best written mangas from JUMP. Definitely get it as its still in the top echelon of best manga storytelling and character design.

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"

You mean it moved back like 4 spots for like ~3 chapters?

I don't know if that it statistically relevant even assuming the TOC was a completely reliable indicator of popularity.

Ringo still ruining things overall.

One Piece 811

I need more happenings already.

Bleach 657

Whatever.

Hajime No Ippo 1123

Ippo's crouch is still the biggest national treasure it seems.

Dragon quest dai no daibouken is good adventure manga. If you enjoy shoben adventure manga with its associated tropes, i think you will enjoy it.

Where do you guys get your english language manga? I'm back in AU for a holiday and I checked in our local kinokuniya and the average price is $12, which I guess is okay, but I'm looking to cut corners (as usual)

Try Amazon or B&N, their digital services. I know the Nook store is cheaper than $12 a pop.

For the US Rightstuf's the way to go (with Instocktrades for Dark Horse stuff), but I'm guessing that wouldn't apply when it comes to AU.

Apart from Omnibuses, I can't remember the last time I paied more than $9.99 [American Dollars] for a manga, and even if I did, it eventually netted me a $0.90-$5.00 refund from AMZN. I cant imagine buying manga in a bookstore again unless I was boarding a plane or train and went to one of those B&N kiosks to pick something up to read quickly.

Aoi Uroko to Suna no Machi 11 (end)

So I wasn't right about anything, yet most everything makes sense considering the perspective we have.
Except maybe the monster in the tunnel, what was that about?
This was pretty good, I recommend it.

Pleasantly surprise to see its a short series. Looks like I should pick it up again after ch.1.

I really do not get what you guys don't like about this new SnS arc. The villains in Soma have always been fairly comical and over the top including Erina in her introduction. Also the side characters almost never got focus before they almost always played second fiddle to the leads. Really the only thing that's changed is Erina is now in a far more vulnerable state which is more interesting then her being queen tsundere
