I'm so frustrated. I spend hours leveling up because I'm not usually good at RPGs, then they have a scaling system where anyone below you level wise gives you squat minus exp. So I leveled up from 30-50 yesterday and since doing tons of missions and three story chapters, I'm only level 51 now.

Then my skells are weak as shit, I have like, no money, and it took hours to get 1,000,000 space bucks, just to find out you need almost 5,000,000 to get the big skell.

I have I think a chapter and a half left, should I just cash in my money to max out gear on my level 30 skells and characters to knock out the rest of the main story?

Did you already get yourself a G-Buster or something from the lower level puge garrison in Sylvalum? I think the camp is in the SE of Sylvalum iirc mobs are in the 30sish. That can basically one shot most things up to the 50s(outside of giants and tyrants of course).

I also found a BB Sword Skell wep from a mech camp in Oblivia which did a lot of damage to groups.

You don't really need to spend that much money on Skells outside of their initial buy costs and any repairs really. Stuff you find or craft tends to be better.

Also I bought a Lvl. 50 Inferno even when I am Lvl. 48 and since I already got some crazy good weapons in Sylvalum I'm lowkey preparing it for the moment I can finally use it. Also managed to optimize my FrontierNav a little bit so I can buy another Lvl. 50 Verus.

Guys, I lied.

I was gonna give up on Mia but then I got side tracked and started doing some quests. Also started to finish some I started a while back.

Some of them increased Cauldros survey % to my surprise. And suddenly I found myself at 63.9%.

Then I found an easy Tyrant to destroy. 65.2%. I made it. #WEMADEIT

CHIEF IS COMIN FOR YOU MIA
LOL

Ahh. Thanks! Guess I need to toss this junk. If I sell it, does all my equipment on it get sold too? When I looked to buy a new one they all were red. Do I have to be level 30 to use new ones at store?

John Harker

Definitely doesn't make things up as he goes along.
Is there really no quick and easy way to recruit members to join your squad? Having to run all over town to grab people is already really old and I'm 18 hours in. I can't even remember offhand where everyone is so I rarely change up my team.

Man, I been doing quest left and right and is good to indeed run around (mech or human) to find a lot of stuff. Secret caves (some which are 'Hell No!!' the moment you enter :p). Found Mia lost this way (Noctium and later Oblivia) so keeping my eye open for her mext spot!

Help marry some Proe and infiltrated some bases to save a few...I haven't even pay much attention to main story lol. Alredy got two mechs of million range and beating most thing on my way. Sadly the story becomes a cake walk cause of over leveling I did lol.

chapter 9 was a bitch, but I showed 'em who's who

No other way. You can press on the hexagon on the gamepad to find the members' locations. They usually remain in one location except they move to another location due to heart-to-heart event.

I think it'll sell everything so unequip it first. And yeah, your character has to be level 30 to pilot a level 30 mech. You can buy it I think, you just won't be able to use it.

At 100 hours in as of today, I think that's the only way. At this point I've memorized where everyone is lol. It is a pain though.

Yeah, if you want to sell a Skell, anything currently equipped to it gets sold as well so make sure to put your worst equipment on it if you're going to do that.

And yeah, you can only buy Level 30 Skells and assign them to a character once that character is Level 30. And Level 30 Weapons/armors can only be equipped to Level 30+ Skells. You can't put Level 30 stuff onto a Level 20 frame, no matter what your party's levels are.

Unfortunately, no.

MIA IS MINE

Sorry Celica but you're getting replaced by another blonde.

LOL I cant believe the Ganglion
probed her and other awful stuff
. She was sure chipper about it.

Loved this whole quest chain, minus the survey part. Mia is excellent.

Yeah, and what really kind of annoying about that is how certain characters have a really limited number of Skill slots since they can never change classes, like how Lin will always have a maximum of 3 no matter what. Wish they gave them all at least a cap of 4 to make up for that, but oh well. It's really not too big of a deal I guess fortunately but it's just another one of those things about the game that's odd and doesn't make too much sense I guess.

Welcome to the Mia fanclub.

Celica is still my bae though.

Going to grind to 50 before doing chapter 10. I should be able to afford the most expensive skell easily. And I already farmed a bunch of G-Busters and Phoenixes in Sylvalum so I should be good to go.

Then, I will fucking murder the tyrant for archeology level 5.

man when I want this thing to disconnect like it always does when I am 1 kill away from clearing a long all tyrant Squad mission, now waiting so I can idle farm NOPE-ON

Wait, Mia is playable?
all I remember is her leaving NLA after getting the stuff she wanted in that very early mission

she has a GAF fan club join us

How do you guys level up so fast on here? I've been grinding a lot but still feels like I level up so slowly.
Early game, beating up on small tyrants works fairly well.

But when it really gets easy to Level up is when you get access to the Level 30 Skells and can just use the super-strong gravity-based weapons to take out smaller/normal sized enemies 10-20 levels higher than you in like one hit each. Ultrafauna and larger-sized enemies in general don't seem to give you that much more experience to be worth the more considerable time investment in takes to kill them, so it's better to focus on quantity over "quality" in that respect. Just using G-busters/Phoenix (or whatever other high force weapons you might have) to take out whole hordes of smaller enemy-types like 10 levels stronger then you makes leveling a breeze. Of course, the one drawback is that costs a lot of fuel so you have to have the Miranimum to restore it or otherwise just wait, but nonetheless that's the quickest way during the main game, other than perhaps learning how to abuse Overdrive to just absolutely destroy everything I guess.

if you have flight for Skells insectoidXX up and go kill Joker north inside the big flower lv 90 but easy with that insectoid

In Level 30 Skell land, is the G-Buster way better than the E-scythe? I was using the G-Buster for awhile but switched over to the E-scythe so I could control the back-hits (and gave the party members the G-Busters). It ended up being a disadvantage in the Chapter 10 boss fight but has been pretty comparable out in the field. Maybe I like getting the jagged numbers too much.

I don't really understand why the game suggests the bottom classes are "harder to master" than the upper ones. I find Galactic Knight way easier to manage the battle than the offensive-based classes, given its TP-regeneration, melee combos, and dedicated healing Art. I could see Psychocorruptor being tricky but Galactic Knight seems almost brain dead sometimes.

Gonna sweep through Sylvalum next. I feel like it gets the short shrift a little since I was able to explore Noctilum and Oblivia so much on foot and get a feel for the places. Sylvalum... Just feels like flyover country right now. I feel bad for the developers who put all that effort into designing a place that can be explored by foot. The flight module has made me too efficient and businesslike.

It's hilarious how (normal quest spoilers)
serious the Manon pizza thing became. At first it was just, "Oh cute. So the Manon like pizza." Soon it's murder mysteries and political unrest.

See, I want to explore the last two continents on foot like I did Primordia, Noctilum, and Oblivia.

Because I know that if I use my Skells for anything outside of difficult battles that I will be spoiled. So if possible, I'll be on foot for Sylvalum and Caldros until I explore them a good amount.

That's a lot of magma in Caldros, not using a skell is pretty annoying and makes getting to some places impossible without taking environmental damage.
