Here’s a snapshot of the 2016 exclusive titles we’ve announced so far from Microsoft Studios and our first-party partners that we’ll ship on Xbox One, Windows 10 and in some cases, both. We’ll also bring even more updates to all versions of Minecraft in 2016 and we have new title reveals in store for gamers too:

Gears of War 4 (Xbox One) – Multiplayer Beta in Spring 2016/Launch in Fall 2016

Quantum Break (Xbox One) – April 5, 2016

Halo Wars 2 (Xbox One & Windows 10) – Fall 2016

Crackdown 3 (Xbox One) – Multiplayer in Summer 2016

Fable Legends Open Beta (Xbox One & Windows 10) – Spring 2016

ReCore (Xbox One & Windows 10) – 2016

Sea of Thieves (Xbox One & Windows 10) – 2016

Gigantic (Xbox One & Windows 10) – 2016

Killer Instinct: Season 3 (Xbox One & Windows 10) – March 2016

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition (Windows 10) – Spring 2016

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition (Xbox One & Windows 10) – Spring 2016

Cobalt (Xbox One, Xbox 360 & Steam) – Feb. 2, 2016

Sure looks like it.

Also, ReCore has always been a 2016 release. Unless you mean it's no longer "Spring" 2016, which was always a completely ridiculous thing to believe. I don't for a second think MS was being honest with that date.

Wouldn't be surprised at all.

Also,

Crackdown 3 (Xbox One) – Multiplayer in Summer 2016

Is this game a digital release? I have a physical preorder I'd rather keep...

They said there will be a Multiplayer beta in summer 2016, I would guess the full game digital and physical will be in 2017.

I may be cynical, but any title that only shows as being 2016 will get delayed till 2017.

I'm only interested in ReCore and Quantum Break. Crackdown 3 I want the full game not the multiplayer.

So looks like I need to pay to fix my bricked xbox one by at least april, since I barely touch it.

I'm glad MS is supporting PC on so many of these, but man does it make it hard to justify jumping on an XBO when more and more of these are also on PC.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
Just noticed

Every title in our exclusive 2015 holiday games line-up – Halo 5: Guardians, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Motorsport 6 and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition – sold over 1 million units, and the number of Xbox One gamers who played Microsoft Studios-published titles more than doubled compared to 2014

...That has to be shipment. Otherwise, Tomb Raider couldn't possibly be there. Oh man, the overshipment.

Sea of Thieves will 100% be delayed

Halo Wars 2 is 50/50, depends on how long the game has been in development

Crackdown is pretty much confirmed 2017 for the full release

Recore is tricky since we don't know what it is. If it's only a $40 or less release then it should come out this year. If it's a new AAA franchise that will go for $60, then I don't see it making this year at all. Do we even know what genre it is?

Do you have any indication beyond "I say so" for why these games would be delayed?

Gears Ultimate coming to PC? Nice.

That was announced at E3 last year :)

Until I see actual gameplay I'm not buying it, unless they mean "end of December 2016" and I can't see this going toe-to-toe against the usual holiday heavyweights.

Would be nice though.

Cool! It piqued my interest based on pedigree so I'll keep an eye out for it and grab it for PC if/when I'm so inclined.

Awesome news. Really pulling for that PC port to help the game's chances of being a big enough success for Armature to keep doing cool, non-port, projects.

Yeah. That's nothing new

ReCore PC was spotted on a developer's page last year but it was only announced as a console release.

So wait, all of those PC games will be Windows 10 only? That would be such a dick move.

What do you expect? MS obviously wants to promote W10 as the best platform for PC gaming, so supporting old OS (especially with Win 10 being free) makes zero sense for them.

For Sea of Thieves, it's Rare. The only time I can recall them ever releasing a game without a delay was Kinect Sports and maybe the second Viva Pinata. This is easily the most complex game they've ever made as well.

With Halo Wars 2, we've only seen a CGI trailer so far and don't know anything else about it. MS doesn't typically release Gears and Halo in the same Holiday season and if their other games are coming along slower than we think, Halo Wars 2 would do an excellent job of filling the void.

Recore is simply how development and marketing seem to work. If it's a smaller scale/budget title, it can be released in a short time span with no problems. I doubt we'll see gameplay before E3 so if it's a AAA game, there's no way it would end up releasing this year since that simply isn't enough time for a new IP.

So yeah I'm just guessing but there have been so many delays this gen I'm come to expect almost everything getting pushed that isn't an annual release or a known big Holiday title.

It's like they read the Scalebound thread and thought they should add their two cents on the release schedule.
