Seems to be coming soon - hopefully!

^ Lucky you. Hopefully you won't get taxed!

Still nothing on my end...
I'm getting worried. EMS Express usually only takes 2, max 3 days from Japan to Netherlands. I mean, I would understand if it was stuck in customs for two days because that's what I fully expect to happen, but the tracking doesn't even show that it arrived in Amsterdam :/.

Fingers crossed on the no-charges thing, I will keep this thread updated for future reference! The processing should go rather quickly for you soon!

I knew complaining on the internet would work. Status has now changed and it's in customs.
Hopefully we both get our techos before the end of the week :D

You got Moxie, kid!
Smaller than I expected, but still very cool.

Can you not quote things my wife said on our honeymoon in this thread please?

For the Plumix problem, yeah, is the ink cartridge inserted all the way? Or did the ink leak out the front?

My parcel is out for delivery today but I'll have to pay €30 customs fees and tax.

>_<

You get to know if you're going to pay (and how much) customs before it shows up in your doorstep which is actually good.

In here you'll only know if you're gonna get charged once they are in the front door.

That used to be the case for us too, this is actually the first time I know what I can expect beforehand. The post system actually has a neat tracking system now that can automatically detect if there's a parcel on the way, what time it'll be arriving and if there are any fees tied to it. Coincidentally just as I'm typing this I got a notification on my phone that the delivery guy is on his way now.

It feels like I'm living in the future.

Wow. At best all the ETA we got is "It will arrive tomorrow between 8am - 5pm" at worst we get something like "estimate arrival: Yesterday" then we'll probably get it today or tomorrow lol

How did you find out you have a charge to pay? Did it say on the tracking page?
Once the package has been handed over to the local post service, I can request them to convert the EMS T&T code to a code that they work with, and then I can see the exact the delivery details. It's possible that the same can be done with your parcel, but you'd have to know which postal service is going to carry out the delivery.

Haha yeah I know what you mean, we were in the dark ages of post delivery until recently as well. Even now it ocassionaly fucks up, with estimates like "Estimated arrival: between 9 AM and 9 PM" ok. lol. Or it keeps saying "Delivery: Tomorrow" for 4 days straight, haha.

Some day, all deliveries will be carried out by drone that we can track with GPS on our phones and we pay customs duties with a QR code. That'll be the day.

Ordered mine last week and I've been staring at the tracker ever since. I think I'm going to use this as a way to improve my drawing/japanese skills (ordered a japanese one instead of english).
Anyone care posting some shots of their drawings, so I can feel more inadequate? :D

My package is being delivered tomorrow!

Total package cost = 15120yen
Total customs charges = £30.90 :/

At least I'll be able to write in it from this weekend~

I pushed the cartridge in. It had to break the seal, I guess. Seems in properly?

Can you post a pic? Show the nib and where it's leaking?

The Plumix is obviously a cheapo pen, but Pilot makes nice stuff. I like them just to transplant the nibs to better bodies. There may be an easy fix here, or if not, it is not a total loss, as you can pop the nib out.

Awesome to see people getting and using their planners! I'm still adapting to the switch from Cousin to Planner. I'll post some pages if I make anything suitable for display.

I traveled to Tokyo because I didn't want to wait for covers. I'm going to the store tomorrow. Post based covers.

It's here!

I'm so excited to start using it. I was disappointed to find out that there's no free pen included and first I thought that might've been a mistake, but I just looked on the website and apparently English planners don't qualify for the free pen (and tissue holder) :(((. If I had known this I probably would've went for the Japanese planner, but oh well. I guess I'll just reuse 2015's pen, even though it already ran out of black ink, lol.

Welp, time to backlog 14 journal entries :D

Oh and I just realized I have nothing to color with in my planner. What would you guys recommend? I don't know if markers for example would bleed through the paper... Maybe I should stick with coloring pencils.

The advantage of the japanese one is that it's cheaper and has the extras (pen and tissue holder) but the english one has a better cover though, it looks nicer.

Is there a higher end leather cover than the black 13,000 yen one for Cousin?

I need to class it up for meetings. Think full on Patrick Bateman.

Yeah flipping through my Japanese 2015 techo, I think it's much better. It has pages for anniversaries, keeping track of gifts received/given and even some space for small reviews of things. I really liked those additions and the English planner doesn't have them. I think I'll stick with Japanese planners from now on. I really did love that pen :(

I didn't even notice the Japanese planner is cheaper :p

I use the Posca PCF-350 brushes to draw and colour with.
Posca PCF-350 brush

I really enjoy the feeling of painting with a brush but still having it easy to deal with and to carry around.
And the colour doesn't bleed through.

My bag arrived! Looking forward to taking it home this evening and taking pictures of my haul - expect photos soon!

Woops didn't realize that I ordered the Japanese one so I got all the extra junk. No worries about the cover though since I'll never see it.

Ugh stores in Tokyo are sold out of popular covers. Loft had the pink.

any help? :/

I just put in the order from the japanese site. Got the regular planner, total with shipping came to 30 euro, from what I gathered they were going for even more on sites nearby. If you get also the cover and stuff then the shipping will be a lot cheaper per item.

Maybe I should have gotten the cover too....

You could try the Hobonichi store itself? Can't remember where exactly they're located but it's in Tokyo.

I bought my planner there last year around april and they had a great selection of covers.

Holy shit man, this is magnificent. Can you give us a review of the different stickers/sticky notes and pens after you get a chance to use them?

It's sold out of the normal ones. I think I'm going to buy the Hello Kitty one then cover up the Kitty with an Undertale sticker. The color pattern is awesome.

Edit: Screw it, bought it. The material of the cover is a sticky, plastic-y material. That sucks. I'd prefer the normal cover material. This one seems cheaper. But I love the design and it's a Japan exclusive, so that's a plus.

Got my ssack cover and pilot fountain pen. Wow the pen is an absolute dream. So fine, accurate and smooth, you barely need to touch it to the paper. Imagined it'd be hard, messy work.
