Is Fat Princess on PS3 still a worthwhile purchase, or is it basically an online only type game (and likely with not much online play lately)?

The highest discount you can hope for is 33% off, as the devs have publicly stated that they'll go with a Nintendo pricing strategy. There are also 2 free DLCs with alternate protagonists and gameplay modes coming this year, so it's certainly worth $15.

I love the game, by now I own it as 3DS download, 3DS physical, Amiibo and the PSN version. Totally worth it, these great devs deserve support. Thus if you want to play it now, I would just buy it.

Planning on picking this up at some point in the future. Which is the better version out of Vita and 3DS?

So I guess hand of fate, organ trail, big sky, and nekoburo cats move to 'buy' pile.

Let me sell you on Nekoburo

Sold.

LEGO The Hobbit is probably the worst LEGO game we've played

thanks for helping me dodge it!

I looooove Big Sky Infinity.SNIP
Organ Trail is my new favorite game. SNIP
Pure Chess is a great looking chess game,

I played the Big Sky demo and was one of the people who had issues seeing bullets, etc. but... I'll give it another spin based on your rec. I loved Oregon Trail, so maybe I'll just give Organ Trail a shot. Pure Chess.... I guess I can skip it.... i wouldn't mind having it on my vita but I don't think i'd ever choose it over something else.

Thanks for the feedback!

Still looking for feedback on:
hypervoid
cosmophony
bloxiq
2013 infected wars
super blackout
squares

Took a chance on The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. No way can this be as boring as Everybody's Gone to the Rapture I hope.

To all those who recommended Shovel Knight: Thank you so Much! I have been playing since i purchased it. So hard to put down. Just a well thought out game and the soundtrack and levels are so awesome. Thank you so much!

Thinking of getting these games for PS4:

Bastion
Unfinished Swan
Rogue Legacy
Sound Shapes
Limbo
Flower

Should I be cautious of any of these, quality wise? I missed out on a lot of indie games these last 3-4 years so I'm lttp.

Rogue legacy and sound shapes are both fantastic both have really good cross save with the other versions of that helps. Honestly those 2 are up most of my time spent in airports since they've been released. Flower is good and super relaxing. Limbo is enjoyable in general but didn't get as into as the first 2 mentioned.

Still waiting on some impressions on Fat Princess Adventures. Think I'm in for Fibbage and Pure Pool, but I'm on the fence about FPA.

Hmmm thanks

Edit: I'm on the fence with Limbo. Think I will get the other games though

I own and have played a lot of these, so here are some recs for those that need them.

Must Own:
Crimsonland (one of the best dual stick shooters ever)
Transistor (seriously good, sort of a modern semi-action take on srpgs)
Bastion
Don't Starve
Guacamelee! Bundle Fantastico
Hotline Miami
Velocity 2x
Tokyo Jungle (Top 10 from last gen!)
Limbo

Good for the 'experience':
Sound Shapes
Flower

Recommended w/ reservations (depends on what you like):
Rainbow Moon (best with about $3 of dlc to dodge some hassle)
Dead Nation (always charge shoot your primary weapon for best results)
Luftrausers (single stage score attack shooter with thrust/gravity mechanics... it's brilliant, but ultimately you need to be into the genre)
Killallzombies -- plays a lot like Crimsonland. Not as good, but still worth checking out.

Haven't played but have heard only good things:
Badland
Hohokum
Organ Trail
Fibbage

Games everyone loves but me:
Rogue Legacy
Terraria

--------------

overall, this is a fantastic sale. I own a lot of the 'must haves' already, but $30-50 could easily give someone new to the Sony fold a year's worth of absolutely fantastic games.

Those are all really good games. Don't hesitate to purchase.

C-mon, someone help me out! How puzzle focused is Ethan Carter?? Hoping puzzles are minimal. How long is the game?

There are a few puzzles (like 4 or 5 I'd say) but they aren't very complex or anything.
The game is not very long, it shouldn't take more than 4 hours to see everything. It's worth it though, the atmosphere is top notch.

So far, I think Organ Trail will be a good investment. I had to laugh when the player named after my borderline survivalist friend died first... I genuinely hate the shooting though.

I picked up Skullgirls 2nd Encore as well. I was not the biggest fan of the original when I bought that at launch, but it has grown a lot and I gambled my $10. Thankfully, I like it now.

Bought Retro City Rampage and Organ Trail so far. To those who have Pure Chess, how is it? Is to good enough as a "chill and think" sim?

I have been waiting for transistor to go on sale since I got my ps4. I remembered that trailer for it a year or so ago and loved the art direction. Havnt heard much about it in awhile but I assumed it was good

Going for it

It depends. Vita is cross-buy and has Kratos. 3ds has 3D and Amiibo support.

On Topic: I wonder if $16 is as low as Steins Gate will go, or if it will be cheaper in the next 6 months.

Redeemable only on the PS4 console. Cannot be redeemed on the online store.

:(

yea, that's what is says in the post you just quoted?

And for the poster above, I'm sure it will work on pre-orders but since preorders only let you do one at a time your not really taking full advantage of the 20% off entire cart (neither would be as you said your cart was only $28 that would only give you what $3-$4 off and since the code is that much you wouldn't be saving any money. I'm not sure you know how to take full advantage of those codes)

I liked it more than any of those. It's a fantastic game.

Admittedly I played it when it first came out on 360, when there was a lot less choice in the metroidvania segment, but I may double dip and see if I can 100% it on ps4.

Thanks. I'm gonna' go ahead and grab it.

it doesn't work on pre-orders, they don't give you an option to put in a promo code

also for $28 the 20% off code would have saved $5.60

Got Golf Club...surprisingly not bad, I actually had more fun in my round than I did playing that new Rory game

I searched and most of my local courses are in there. Look forward to building my own courses.

Went back for Hotline Miami since they're all but giving it a way, only I forgot about the $5 PSN wallet minimum, so I grabbed Bastion too. Five great games for under $30, can't beat it. This probably means I'll be holding off on The Witnesss though, with Gravity Rush and Firewatch are dropping in a couple of weeks.

I didn't like Unfinished Swan, but I feel like I'm in the minority on that one.

The rest of them rank from good to great.

Rogue Legacy is probably the best game on that list.

Still waiting on some impressions on Fat Princess Adventures. Think I'm in for Fibbage and Pure Pool, but I'm on the fence about FPA.

Played Fibbage last night with my wife and 9 year old daughter. Fibbage is a bit too mature for my 9 year old daughter (one question wanted the name of a dildo in the shape of the Queen of England or something) but we had a blast. It is lots of fun.

If you have friends over, you can play up to 8 people. It is an awesome party game, dont think about it, just buy it at that price.

Guys, I have $10 on my wallet right now but can't decide on wether I get Skullgirls or Ethan Carter, what do you think? I love both genres, will Skullgirls be cross buy when it launches on Vita.

Got Dust, because it's one of the best games out there. Bought it for 360 when it first came out.

Also Divekick and Cel Damage HD. Hopefully will be some multiplayer fun.
