I'm studying abroad for a while soon, it sounds pretty great and I really want to do it (I've mentioned it plenty of times, but I guess anxiety appears when things are about to get real), but I feel like maybe I'm too old for stuff like this, and yeah, it'll be pretty rough for my third world pockets. I'm not in risk of going broke or anything, lol, but still.

I was in church a few months ago, and I saw this Latino with the most incredible set of nalgas. Like I couldn't believe it. I wonder if it was padded I wish I could've given it a poke or something. With permission of course.

Well they say that all of he popular people now are terrible and back then music was perfect and there was never anything bad on the radio. It is more about how everything is bad now a days.
Once bowie died, so many people where talking about him and try to seem like they where really moved by his music. It was so easy to see they just wanted attention.

Where are you going? Study is never too late. I'm 28 and going to finish my master degree by the end of this year. There are some older people in my class, some of them are in their 40s.

I'm 28 too :p The "too old" part was mostly about willingly getting rid of a big part of my savings when I don't need to do this. I already have a degree and it'd be more sensible to pursure a master degree as well. But nope, I want to fly to Japan and spend half a year there :v In my defense, I can't really travel anywhere else, I don't have relatives in cheaper countries. And yeah, I want to learn the language, that's the whole point.

Japan is awesome and the JPY is quite cheap nowadays so it's a great choice.

I liked the instrumental a lot on that track, but it lacked a good chorus. When people say music sucks today, they don't mean it as a blanket statement; obviously there is some decent music being made, but generally, the output of today pales in comparison to decades past. Taylor Swift is largely good when she isn't inviting rent-a-rappers to come in and ruin a good song.

Well another reason is because people dont remember the bad songs and forgettable songs. Alot of people look back with rose tinted glasses and just remember the things that stood out and where good. If you where to look back at the top hits you would see alot of bad and forgettable songs. The same thing will happen in 20-30 years from now.

I think if you're going to make statements like this but don't want people calling you out, you need to be more specific. I mean, you don't have to, though, obviously. I assume you are still talking about specific styles/genres with specific qualities and you have a particularly personal definition or criteria for what constitutes "good" in mind, so I won't dispute anything you said.

How am I wrong, though? A majority of the styles I like are not made today. Therefore, for me, older music is better. To be fair, a lot of the new music I hear, at least non-rap music, isn't really "bad" but just boring. Mid-tempo, lazy production, no catchy riff/melody

How about you post your top 5 favorite songs (potentially with brief descriptions of what you like)? People will better understand where you're coming from and what you've been trying to say and may even be able to recommend you more music (old or new) you might not already know.

iamamiwhoami - Shadowshow

Clairity - Velcro

That last one even samples Yazoo - Don't Go which is from the 80s!
