I'm not sure why some people are surprised the game is already translated into English. Of course it is. They weren't going to delay it for 3 weeks to finish a localisation lol

Buy game off xbox.com, JP region, turn on xbox and download it, no need to change any xbox settings if its already on English

Doubt they care since you're using Japanese MS points. MS decided to make the Xbox One completely region-free as well. They need the Japanese sales anyway. Win win.
you dont even have to download the english version, there is no english version
its just 1 game and the language is changing depending on the region you have set
So its the actual english version of the game and it just lets you play it now instead of april 12th?

I assume you don't need a VPN for JP
On xbox.com scroll to the bottom of the page, click the lower left hand corner and change it to japan, search for dark souls 3, buy it, use a JP address (Hotel etc), then turn on xbox and download it from your games ready to install section
keep in mind that you cant use a non japanese credit card so you have to buy xbox credit (YEN!! NOT US OR EURO)
but yea its pretty simple and u dont need VPN

Nope, that's not true. I booted up the English version with the console set to Japanese and it was English. I have never even seen the Japanese version lol. There are seperate versions, one is 17.2 GB (JP) and one is 17.3 GB (English)

Legit pissed is a bit strong for something that shouldn't even really be the case and is only achievable through sorta gaming the system. Still as I said, it begs the question why they are holding back the official release with 3 weeks.

Nope. You've been able to buy games from foreign regions since the XB1 launched.
Company financials. 2016's second financial quarter begins April 1. I'm sure the release was held back beyond that date. Beyond that, who knows. It's very frustrating.
