DQ11 was announced for NX and that's UE4. I don't believe for a second it will be even similarly spec'd as the Wii U.

I'm really hoping Nintendo nailed it with their controls.

I'm preparing to be highly disappointed though, it's been too many years since I've looked at a piece of hardware from Nintendo and said "that's genius".

so for button configuration, the only way you can change anything is by adding an attachment with buttons. so you CAN have physical buttons if you really want them, but you'll need to buy the attachment separately.
i don't think you'll want to though because the touch buttons are really good. it doesn't feel exactly like physical buttons, but you can still push down and feel when they've been pressed because of the haptic feedback thing. if you run your fingers across them quickly, you wont feel the buttons, same as when the device is off... but that doesn't matter much because you'll very quickly get used to the positioning of the buttons. i'll admit, it does take a little bit to get used to it, but you'll forget about it after using it for a few hours.
As for the handheld, i dont really know. all I know of is the console, core gamepad(s) and the attachments. I'll update once i know more.
the price is lower, but that doesn't mean this isn't a powerful console. it may not exceed the ps4 (i don't know for sure), but it is definitely on the same level, if not, better than the xbone. that all doesn't really matter though, the games that will be announced will make you forget about the console. :)))

It's amazing how quickly people believe literally anything posted on the Internet. Not saying that about the "leaked" photos, because they are either very convincing fakes or the real deal.

But believing a guy posting whose first sentence is that he's from the future...

I really can't wait for Nintendo to reveal the damn thing, because I can no longer stand reading some of the insanity I've read in this thread. Then again, even if the NX ends up pleasing everyone in here, I doubt it'll suddenly make the irrational people rational.

Not having the button accessory isn't a good idea, but if the rising touchscreen buttons are just as comfortable, I think I'll be fine with the lack of such an accessory, assuming the leak is real.

You do realize they have much more chance to grab non-Nintendo gamers than non-gamers, right? Some Xbox or PS user might buy a Wii U or NX for something that interests them on a console with acceptable features, but no casual will ever buy a console at this point. Why on Earth would they when they already have more games than they can play on their phones for basically no money? The casual market has vanished for consoles as soon as smartphones picked up. It's gone. You're more than one generation late.

Yes, 3d printed fakes that are copying a nintendo patent. Physically real, but not the NX controller, or actually a functioning electronic device. Think of a fake phone display model they used to have at best buy.

I will buy the NX no matter what, as I have a vested interest in following Nintendo independent of my personal feeling's on the design philosophy behind any given system, but I will be meteorically downtrodden if there are no buttons to press. I crave that tactile feedback, especially in the game genres Nintendo specializes in.

Will maintain an open mind, as it's always hard to say how any particular Nintendo "gimmick" will shake out over time. The Wii is probably my least favorite video game system ever, while the Wii U is easily in my top 5.

I just won't respond well to quality games being stymied by controller buffoonery (a la lots of Wii-era stuff).

I'm glad this got a leak if it turns out to be real. This way we can come to terms with how dumb it looks, so when we get the reveal we won't all be: "WTF?"

I mean it appears to physically exist, but I think its some kind of nonfunctioning fake. A piece plastic with glass on top or similar.
