There's a new Pillows album? And then Gackt in a couple weeks? What decade is this!?

I saw BACK-ON last night at the local anime con, they put on a great show! And ONE OK ROCK is coming soon (Pittsburgh), but I'm probably gonna pass since the other bands on the tour are really not my thing.

Listening to the new BABYMETAL, Tales of The Destinies sounds like a mashup between Dream Theater, Between the Buried and Me and about 5 or 6 other very proggy bands... Love it!

can he produce their next album please?

We randomly went to a show in Shinjuku and it was Electric Ribbon (they've been mentioned in this thread but I don't know if they're big). Pretty nice overall and we got to meet and talk with them a bit. I bet they didn't expect Swedish listeners when playing in a tiny club. :D

they're not big, but they're pretty much staples in the underground and are well-liked. they seem like cool ladies, glad you got to meet them.

also Erica always seems to have alcohol in hand so I feel a certain kinship with her

Awesome, I'm a fan, I was just going to post that they have a new member.

Just like Avandoned, if it was anyone else I would've cared. :p

well let's just hope that unlike Avandoned nobody gets sacked. though I doubt they have many "rules" in Eribon.

e: though to Konomi's credit, she basically carried the bulk of the english interaction when Avandoned were here, earned her a few brownie points in my book :p

here's a new Ebichu video that maybe somebody on this board isn't blocked from viewing

new album's going to be a surprise since I can't actually check out the songs they've been releasing :\

Yeah hopefully not. I'm pretty sure the only rules are Chiaki has to eat bread and Erica has to drink all the time, and Pippi has to carry that puppet everywhere.

That Ebichu song isn't blocked in the UK, it's not good.

Haha, she did ask for a beer during the show so I guess that's her thing. Chiaki was throwing bread to the audience for no apparent reason.

kpop sounds with japanese vocals will never stop sounding weird to me. also this might be a weird thing to notice, but they all have straight teeth; I wonder if that was a prerequisite or if it was taken care of while they were in training?

it's not terrible all things considered

I actually like a little bit of yaeba tbh

It does sound like they're Korean singing in Japanese?, which isn't the case but it's not natural sounding.

Are crooked teeth still seen as cute?. The popular idol groups all seem to have fixed smiles now. Tomo got hers fixed as soon as she left AKB, I wonder if it was in her contract to keep it tbh.

wouldn't surprise me. fun fact, my friend's in-laws are dentists in tokyo, so I've gotten my dental questions answered from the source. you don't usually see braces for cosmetic purposes since insurance doesn't usually cover it, and generally nobody cares anyway. you only really see people with medical needs or actors trying to go international getting them straightened. non-cosmetic dentistry is more or less what you'd expect in any first world country.

That song and video are more Korean than most straight up kpop ahah.

Seems like old Brave Bros used up his talent for 2016 when this super hot fire hit.

I'm glad the bellybutton window survived the costume change. e: lol at Kanami knocking that guy over during Plan

Hopefully more video from that event shows up, the lineup was pretty amazing. So far I've only found:

- 黒猫の憂鬱&P.O.P (not that PoP), featuring "chinko" chants, naked guy (edited out by the uploader, also wtf), and a very large man crowdsurfing

- Stereo Tokyo covering BiS (no credit for guessing which song)

e: update, Passcode set, not great quality

YESSSSSSS.

(also it's 8 new tracks. Tracks 2,6,7 and 13 are singles, 9 and 10 B-sides)

Oh yeah, I forgot 風詠む季節 was already out on the latest single, woops
Anyways, if the singles are anything to go by this will be even better than the previous album. They really came into their own over the past 2 years, despite the changes in their line-up.

The album mix has grown on me but I think I still prefer that version.

Paparazzi caught Nakajima Yuto from Hey Say Jump with actress Yo Yoshida. They basically staked out her house for a week and found that he stayed there the whole time. Johnny's said that he is asking her for career advice because she is older than him (42yrs old)

Yesss.

Edit: New Co Shu Nie: https://youtu.be/USoJzFtl2X0 I like it and I'm still looking forward to the mini album, and I might've said this before but I'm really disappointed in their change of sound. Their earlier stuff was amazing too.

Not exactly new, as they had another MV for this song that they removed now.
But yeah, イドラ is amazing, 10/10, and オルグ is quite nice as well. I hope they'll still do things like those, but I'm kinda okay with the change because I still like the new stuff.

This band man...
So good.
