One of them will be delayed until early next year. No way is EA going to cannibalize the sales of both games releasing them within weeks of each other. One of them will "need more time" come August or September.

It's a possibility, but considering the fact that both will be quite different in setting, and probably gameplay, I think they'll be fine.

I'll get both, either way.

The wall running in CoD is garbage, especially when compared to Titanfall.

I wouldn't call it garbage, it works for what is trying to accomplish. The wall running is not the main draw of the game.

It's of course not as dynamic and fast paced as Titanfall,

If they could get cross-compatible online up and running across all three platforms for this, i'd likely jump in again. The first few months of the PC release were fine, but when I tried to go back months later, it was just sad.

Right, but not many people here would even know what that means really. I really hope the campaign helps people play Titanfall the way it's supposed to be played before they even hop into PvP.

The first few months of Titanfall were dreadful, gameplay wise. No one knew how to play the game. Everyone played it like COD.

i really like the subtle music in the trailer and i hope that's from the campaign. titanfall, surprisingly had really great music. I would love to see it expanded for Titanfall 2

man.. titans wall running.. titan sword.... this game is gonna be fucking chaos and fucking tense more than the first one. i am already in love. i have never been this excited about a game release since the first mgs2

I'm not sure what to think of wall-running Titans. It seems like a big departure from the original, where Titans were powerful but rather clumsy. In doubt I'll trust Respawn though.

Uhm the Azure Servers arent really that great from my experience. I have a better experience with the Battlefield and Battlefront servers than i have with Azure Servers.

That's straight up bullshit. you can't can compare shitty EA servers to Titanfall's servers.
 
That does indeed look like a wall-running titan. You can see that is a building and not the ground at a strange angle. The greenery and sky behind indicate it is a vertical wall.

Sounds great.

Be great to see a titan that can do blink/teleport or one that can do huge jumps/tunnel into the ground and emerge with an attack. There's lots of variation that they could introduce.

The sword looks cool too. Hopefully there will be more weapon variations for titans.

I think we should keep bots as well. They played a great role in the first game in allowing beginners to feel like they were contributing, whilst giving veteran players a way of calling in titans more quickly.

I actually wish that yellow titan was real as one thing I felt the original lacked was a varied colour palette. i sometimes struggled to distinguish friend from foe at distance. One of the reasons I loved halo's red vs. blue.

Considering 75% of the time playing is spent running around at extremely high speeds with quick movement, there is no way VR support will ever work without being extremely nauseating. In fact, the team at Respawn tested the PC version of the first game in VR and it made them nauseous.

Perhaps only a small and lightweight titan can wallrun, which sacrificed power and health to do so. Seems like there is a lot of design space for different titans if you abandon the notion that titans are always clumsy. I don't even think they are, because the lightweight one in the first game was quite agile.

They added absolutely nothing to the game beyond the ability for lesser players to get their titans faster (sometimes).

Just increase the player count by two each side, and focus on map design by engagements.

A good Strider player in TF1 is literally untouchable, especially on PC with effective side strafing.
 
There's no way pc gets put into the same match making pool as consoles for this.

Playing as a pilot would be too easy against controller user.

They need more content out the gate I think to maintain the PC population. Which I'd be surprised if they don't deliver on that. The dev cycle for TF2 can't have been nearly as rocky as the first game.

You pretty much nailed it on why they had bots in the first place. They will most likely have playlists without them but expecting them to drop the AI is stretching it.
 
Hang on, what if MOB1316 means the following:

MOB = Multiplayer Online Beta

1316 = Could we see a beta in June at E3? Reveal is 12th of June. MS conference is 13th. E3 finishes 16th.

I mean, that's the whole point of Titanfall.

Hunting down bots to get a Titan quick, while being hunted by Pilots when you're making noise killing the AI.

That's the whole premise of it, anything else isn't Titanfall.

The AI bots don't seem like a limitation choice, but a design choice. You gotta think "MOBA" like.

A Pilots only playlist would not be fun at all, we've already seen it with the playlists they added in the original. It was a mess.

The point of the game is quick engagement, remove the bots and remove any reason to even come out there in the battlefield regardless of a how a map is designed. Bots are a "carrot" to keep players going, moving for that reward.
