Titanfall 2 Teaser, full reveal June 12th at EA Play at 1PM PT, PC/XB1/PS4

Can't wait !!! Swords...

PS4 version this time is great. I will have a lot of friends who are interested in this franchise but don't own an Xbox One.

I loved and still love Titanfall on Xbox One but i have zero friends who own the game which means me playing with strangers on Attrition, which is pretty much the only mode that has people playing.

But with fun and diverse enemies, interesting loot, a at least passable story, a little above average shooting mechanics and less grind?

Yeah I could dig that.

Titanfall 2 wishlist.

- Put it on PlayStation 4. (Confirmed)
- Add a single player campaign. (Confirmed)
- Use the Frostbite engine.
- Cross play between PC, PS4 & X1... NX

Titanfall was great there just wasn't a ton a variety in weapon choices and in games with that kind of progression it's always problematic for the overall life span.

I personally hope it shows up on Steam this time hopefully that will give it legs. It sucks that there's only like 300 people playing it now.

Pretty sure it's not going to show up on Steam. They're definitely going to use this to leverage their new Origin Access service as well.

I still want to know more about SP before getting excited. After all, PR is PR. That SP could be anything from shitty dumb objectives on MP maps, to full cinematic campaign.

I want the full package.

I honestly don't really need a single player campaign, although I welcome it wholeheartedly, there's a great world beyond the borders of the MP maps in this universe. The first game played so bloody well, all it needs is a more robust multiplayer suite -- and I bet this'll deliver, it's got the perfect foundation.

The weird creature makes me think of Evolve...at least the mech combat was fun in the first game. Hoping for a real campaign this time.

Hopefully this isn't too other worldly. I liked the idea that it was just the future. Not like some weird alien planet.

my thoughts exactly.

Single player and also more mech customizability is key

There were huge alien creatures in Titanfall 1 though?

I could see this game releasing September and then Battlefield in late October/Early November (or the other way around). If Battlefield is WW1, I could see both being able to come out relatively close to each other.

If so they run the risk of losing their playerbase quickly to the bigger, later releases.

very interesting how EA plays it, one has to move imo.

Noooice. I hope they can go from the first games floaty 30s-50s FPS to a solid 60, other than that the controls were already so solid and satisfying.

EA listed both of them as Q3 FY17 (October - December 2016) titles.

Yep they straight up said both Battlefield and Titanfall will release before Christmas.

One will likely be September / October and one in November

Titanfall will likely release first as it has been revealed. We've still seen nothing on Battlefield

Indeed. It looks quite good overall, but nothing mindblowing.

Still, it should be a massive improvement over the Source...Seems like they're using UE4 now.

They are actively hiring for Unreal Engine 4 jobs for their new IP, but I'm not sure if Titanfall itself has switched engines or if they just tried to upgrade the renderer to something modern.

Oh really? That's awesome news then, considering all of the silence I didn't expect this out in 2016
A lot of publisher really like short marketing cycles now. I'm expecting more than a few E3 titles announced for this Fall.

We still haven't seen Watch Dogs 2 for example which is supposed to be out in November.

PSVR support please and all systems are a go.

Considering 75% of the time playing is spent running around at extremely high speeds with quick movement, there is no way VR support will ever work without being extremely nauseating. In fact, the team at Respawn tested the PC version of the first game in VR and it made them nauseous.

I'd imagine not, but I can hope! Crysis 2 did show up on steam eventually. There is a precedent for it, even if the last game to do so was a game from 5 years ago and its sequel didn't follow suit.

I thought they'd ditch the story of the last game, but it looks like they're moving forward, given that the drop pod says "James McAllan" on it.
