While I like the idea I personally would never touch it because the game that got me really into CoD was World at War and I've honestly enjoyed each CoD iteration more than the last whit MW2 being the notable exception and by that I mean I love it most above all others.

HALO 2 Anniversary was a remake rather than a remaster. Since this is a remaster it should be like the PC version at max settings.

Hopefully Activision will do it properly and make it a Bluepoint-style remaster, where some of the textures get remade, character models are updated with newer versions, some elements are rebalanced, etc.

This will massively split the playerbase if it includes the original multiplayer. I'd guess they'll just modify COD: Infinity and Beyond's multiplayer to emulate COD4's MP, with a "Legacy" mode and matchmaking playlist, à la Halo 1: Anniversary.

I'd like to see them change the gun sounds with the option to switch between new and old (to keep the original intact). The Modern Warfare guns never sounded great and they sound even worse these days, at least to me anyway.

And you know this how? I mean it's probably true but I don't know how you could know that. From what I've seen in general on the Internet and what friends have said many people would love to go back to the simpler gameplay of the old cods.

Including MW Remastered is so smart. MW:R as a standalone game would move millions.

Just an 'HD remake' of COD4, with no textures or models etc, would shift millions of units.
