Come to think of it, that's not even that much
PS4 did had Bloodborne last year this quarter and U4 was delayed... if Sony had launch U4 in March then it could be up.So, it's a fad right? Already on decline...
Yeah, I'm amazed by the low numbers. 500 million yen is like 4,6 million dollars.
This is Nintendo's worst generation and one of Sony's finest, so I'm not exactly sure why this should come as news to anyone.
Remember when Nintendo compared PS3 to the Balance Board?
It's a typo. Should be billion yen, not million.
Margins are much better for Sony accounting for FX impact though (Sony count FX towards operating income/loss, Nintendo does not).Nintendo:
Total sales - $4.65 billion
Total profit - $303 million (6.5% profit)
Sony:
Total game related sales - $13.73 billion ($4.69 billion from Network)
Total game related profit - $785 million (5.7% profit)
Game related sales vs Nintendo - +194%
Game related profit vs Nintendo - +159%
It's not ps4 vs WiiU but PSN versus the whole Nintendo Company.Considering there is 3x more ps4's than wiiU's thats not as surprising as you think.
I hope not but I wouldn't put it past them with the new management and all. I'll only bite if they get their shit together with their network and have some kind of bonus.Well done to them. Question is will Nintendo start charging for online multiplayer with the NX...?
So looks like they want PSVue to become a thing as well as PSN overall. Maybe they could start selling Music on PSN as well as Videos like Itunes.
Or does the music industry just do business with Itunes as the pioneers?
Considering there is 3x more ps4's than wiiU's thats not as surprising as you think.
Because Microsoft are not reporting Xbox One shipments anymore.
They're comparing themselves to current Nintendo?
What a tough fight.
Sony should really rethink forced subscription for online play, PSN is obviously big enough to generate profit without it now and as much as it increase their profit, it's also driving some users away on the long run, the same goes for MS.
PS4 is a beast, but what is Neo
No, Sony is comparing themselves to Microsoft, Nintendo and Steam. Tough fight indeed. They're comparing themselves to current Nintendo?
What a tough fight.
And with all of that money, PSN remains trash. I miss the days when they were hemorrhaging money.
I don't see what difference it makes since, either way, it'll be trash for you.And with all of that money, PSN remains trash. I miss the days when they were hemorrhaging money.

Common sense says its for all three, it's not very complicated.Of course they are investing in the network, like everyone else on the planet who runs one, even(?) the free ones like Steam and Nintendo. People keep posting/suggesting they are charging for online to improve the Network. Question was, do they invest the PS Plus money in improving the network or is that mostly for simply getting more income/buying licensing for PS Plus lineup etc
Consoles are dead, the NeoGAF hive mind was right.
not sure it's good to limit yourself. Why not have Apple Music, Google Music, Tidal and be platform agnostic?I might be mistaken, but it seems like they might have an agreement or partnership with Spotify(?)
