Guys, you dont realize how pivotal of a time this is

This vs COD is what will shape the next few years of FPS shooters depending on what succeeds.

This is a turning point similar to when WW2 shooters saturated the market and we needed a change. Exciting times ahead !

No. BF1 and CoD:IW will sale 15M+ each. Everybody is happy because that means they can go back to past real wars and not suffer in sales. Which means less works because they don't need to come up with any weapons, enemies or locations. I'm not sure who you think is still making FPS games that will suddenly shift to be past wars themed.

The problem with AAA FPS games will remain them being mostly military focused which means yet again zero creativity with the arsenal, how weapons behave, unique gunplay mechanics, secondary fires etc. And yet again zero creativity with enemy types and variety - everybody is a human with the same boring weapons and maybe a helicopter.

Bad music choice (should have used an acoustic song or something) but the game looks awesome. Can't wait to see gameplay.

Someone tweet DICE to use more fitting music for their next trailers, please.

Cool, where's the rest of it?

This trailer is bursting with color and varied landscapes.

I would't call anything in this trailer "bursting with colour".

$80 for the Early Enlister Edition? Hmm...

Hopefully they'll announce later it'll come with a remaster of Battlefield 1943 or something. Unless those DLC packs are substantial it seems like too much for too little.

As someone who's played a shitton of modern shooters, I don't understand how you cannot be excited for this change. Setting, weaponry, vehicles, actual colors being used..

Now we just need great gameplay to go with it all.

I know right, seriously. We have enough future warfare and space type FPS games. WW1 is refreshing.

And i had no idea about the Harlem Hellfighters. Schools didn't teach us about this. :(

Amazing. WW1 is essentially the launching point for modern warfare, as well as the end of traditional warfare. Such a varied and intriguing war.

Shameless plug for Dan Carlin's coverage of WW1 in his Hardcore History Podcast (it's something like 10 hours long).

Activision and EA know they will get millions to pay for the $80 version over the standard now.

The first thing I thought when I saw the trailer was "wow, they're using a ton of colors in varied landscapes", especially in comparison to previous releases.

You really wouldn't call it bursting with color? I would.

So glad we finally have a big historic-ish war game again.

And a hearty lol tho those saying that World War 1 wouldn't be exciting enough.
