Well, they got me. I suck at flying, but that dogfighting clip made me want to give it another go. Looking forward to October 21st. $80 for that "early enlister edition," though? An extra $20 just to play it a few days early and a handful of skins? Ha-ha, fuck right off with that.
Man I'll be getting Titanfall 2 as well and still playing Uncharted MP. My online gaming is going to be so split up this fall lol. But I shouldn't have many single player games to play outside of FFXV

You're right. In-engine, but not in-game.
I agree with you about the varied landscapes, but I didn't notice any significant difference in colour compared to other titles. It's still so muted. They still use that colour grading too, which might actually be the real problem I have with it.

I want this game to be good...but it seems like each year EA comes out with some form of Battlefield and we all sing its praises. We say day one in drove and.we talk about it being better then the latest rehashed COD. Then when the dust settles from the holiday...the majority bought COD anyway.

I don't understand why WWI has this kind of sacredness about it. All wars were just as terrible, and most of them have had video games made about them.

Yea the early MoH and COD1/2. Yes they were big action games but it didn't feel played up or cheapened. The use of the quotes in loading screens and events shown felt more like "we're putting you in this mess". Not anything close to this.
It can still be exciting (the opening to COD1 floored me) and not cheapen the event itself

I like the name. The first game was 1942 and everyone I know calls it Battlefield or Battlefield 1942. I don't feel like it will cause much confusion.
I dislike Xbox One, because the original Xbox was called the Xbox 1 after the Xbox 360 was released. I still call the OG Xbox the Xbox 1 on accident sometimes. I don't think I have ever referred to Battlefield 1942 as "Battlefield 1".

I imagine she's one of the campaign characters given the character model effort along with the Harlem Hellfighter guy and the guy looking up at the blimp.
They said you played as multiple characters throughout the campaign to cover different areas.

World War 1 was completely pointless, unnecessary slaughter.
It was just throwing bodies on top of more bodies to fight over literal inches of meaningless land. It's held in such a way because it was so extraordinarily brutal and horrifying that the world collectively vowed to never allow a war like that to ever occur again. Many thought it would end the ideal of warfare it was so brutal.

I find this type of complaint confusing. We go through like a decade of WWII games along with the BF1942/3 games and just now people are saying this? I get that some people don't like the music in the trailer but let's not pretend like developers haven't been minimizing the brutality of war in gaming for decades.
Still getting both.
It'll be fun going back and seeing how it translates to sales or lack thereof when both games release. Hint...Both games will sell a fuck ton.
