Are you sure it has less content than the Taken king? Even if the trailer said only 1 new strike that doesn't automatically mean there's less content, they might have focused the team in some other direction.

We've had three expansions already with middling content already. You expect them to suddenly double down on content production?
It could literally be a 5 hour expansion with all the content being grinding for a few pieces of new gear and it would still sell like hotcakes.

It was a step in the wrong direction. It was actually basically the same it was before only 10x more convoluted.
Vanilla Destiny had it right - we were wrong.

If the raid is half decent then it's worth the price of admission in and of itself. The cosmodromeyness of it is a little lame but hey snow and wolves are kind of cool? I don't know. Yeah, Destiny 2 is going to be the big one. This doesn't need to be an amazing time sink for me with Titanfall 2, Battlefield One, and 2 COD releases on the horizon for this fall.

I don't agree. The quest system was good. The problem was that the rewards weren't always clear and you didn't know how to proceed after a certain point.
Vanilla destiny was a mess. Re-run old strikes without any indication for a chance of getting better gear so then you can rerun the raid for weapons and gear you had to go to the forums to know they were good.
if you don't go to a forum and ask the game is still a mess when you get to end level stuff but it's better now that it was at vanilla.
I'm not expecting them add more content than it was in TTK for the first time in Destiny i felt like it was worth the money, the first two "expansions" had so little content that it wasn't even funny. TTK was a step in right direction and i hope this one will take another step in that direction too, and instead of strikes they could be doubling down on the roaming area, Dreadnaught was a cool place to explore but it was a bit too small once you knew where to go, they could really do some cool things in the new area, especially if it's true that they ditched the last gen support.

*sigh* I wish Destiny was better then what it was. They say new story and I can't take them seriously not after the story we've had so far. The lack of content in Destiny is amazing and it seriously bothers me that they have the gall to have micro transactions and you know this expansion isn't going to be free (despite what they said last year) and despite that only 1 new strike and raid?
I loved the original Destiny, it played great but the story was shit and I wanted so much more content then the game had, it really felt like they purposefully held content back as much as possible in order to nickle and dime everyone on 'expansions' and then TTK, then micro transactions. Now we already know all the real resources are being put into a sequel for next year so I cannot find any way to get hyped up about this trailer or this expansions.
And it legit bothers me because I have friends who will play it and I want to play with them but I refuse to support the game anymore, to much bad blood imo.
Don't mean to bring anyone who is excited for it down but Destiny really gets under my skin.
Edit: Also fuck off with that Preorder bonus, they have no fucking shame.
