It was either this or Crash being a newcomer in PS:BR2. Anyone who expected a new crash game was setting themselves up for disappointment.

Who said it had to be Naughty Dog developing it? I'd agree they've moved well past Crash, but there are plenty of devs out there who could do it justice.

Even if a new Crash Bandicoot game is happening, there is absolutely no way it'll be developed by Naughty Dog. I really hope no one hyping themselves for a new Crash entry is clinging to this idea.

Oh cool, so Sony bought the Crash IP from Activision and allowed them to license Crash in an exclusive Skylanders pack! That's fine.

You mean Square-Enix did. For the most part nobody blamed Sony for that (well other than for giving S-E the stage time to announce literally nothing but an old PC port).

And they also knew they had FF7R in development already the whole time while they were making that announcement, since the game was already being worked on according to the various threads about the remake.

I don't know how much you know about Playstation culture(I'm an expert) but honor and shame is a huge part of it.

I'm from Singapore. Qisahn is indeed legit, but as another person in game retail, rather tickled to see them as a source of stuff getting leaked. Lel. Time will tell.

This is stupid.

I would Love for Crash to come back in a big way And yes I'll be pissed if he's just in Skylanders or something. However, maybe business wise they just cant do it or didnt deem it profitable or something. Can't really know what behind the scenes so i dont see why this would make me hate Playstation. Its not like they announced it and then cancelled it or something..

WHAT IF this is part of a licensing deal with Sony. Again, this would be great promo either way since it's a genuinely popular franchise. You'd be introducing a whole new young generation to Crash who would then very likely want to buy the new game. It's sort of like a different version of the
Uncharted 4 thing.

If you have a Crash game coming out sometime in 2017, it would make perfect sense to have something like Skylanders promoting it in October. It'd make perfect sense. Hell even in terms of business it diplomatically makes sense. As a sort of sendoff if you know what I mean.

People are probably gonna shit on it but it's likely to do very well

Hyperbole at its finest. People will be disappointed sure. I will. But the thought that this will tank or cause some mass exodus from the PS brand is straight up insane thinking
