I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Xbox One is under-performing by 2x from their projections in 2012.

So, what games, if any, are we thinking will have a 'Beta available now!' moment? Really keen to sink myself into something new.
i think its probably crackdown, but the others are probably SoT and HW2
Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3, and Halo Wars 2 would be the main candidates.
Scalebound demo would be the dream, for obvious reasons.
I'll be super happy for Sea of Thieves beta.
And Crackdown 3 for a certain Norwegian.
I respectfully disagree.

I think that the language in the report that Microsoft released saying that the MP component of Crackdown 3 means that Microsoft will put Crackdown 3 into the Preview Program.
Maybe VR? They never talked about an Xbox VR solution.

Theres an interview with Phil talking about how theyre looking at 3D printing, might be way off though

This gen really is kicking off now, I kept telling everyone mediocre hardware can be easily remedied by beautiful software (though, I would like a Scorpio)

It's been a good week of information and it gets even better with 2 conferences on Sunday and then Monday! I like E3 being more spread out now for sure.

Previous 2 years I was off (out of town on vacation) and before that I was jobless so I always got to watch. The Microsoft conference starts literally the same time I have to leave the house for work.

yeah, i just mean in a general sense of games i am inticipating that are on the current console i own. Sunday is my bday, so i dont think ill be able to watch. (even thought idk what time it starts lol)

Sounds like a disgruntled ex-employee being a disgruntled ex-employee, not that he doesn't have the right to be disgruntled. Windows 10 and Minecraft are definitely not below expectations.
This controversy is over the top.
They've never said that they cancelled the feature but only that it's on hold for other features, it's the media that have injected that they cancelled it for good.

Its a bit crap, It is, especially for people who bought a product for those features. Nintendo Tvii getting cancelled was a bit shit as well. I dont like MS severing products out of nowhere, its something they have a nasty history of doing.

They said their goal is to hit 1 billion Windows 10 installations within 2-3 years.
They are currently at 300 million and have another two years.(That 300 million doesn't include most of the enterprise adoptions that haven't happened yet which will be another big boost to the numbers.)

That was never... ever an internal expectation number for Xbox One.
No one here is arguing that Xbox One isn't under expectations but Windows 10 and Minecraft? That's just a joke.
That's the fastest adopted OS in history and the second best selling game in history.
There is absolutely nothing Microsoft could have done to save Windows Phone.
You can't force developers to create apps for your ecosystem and you can't pay off all of them either.
Windows Phone was doomed the moment they didn't properly react to the iPhone with Windows Mobile.
Much like the Zune, it had no chance whatsoever of beating such a gigantic brand in a already established market.
Much like Apple can't do anything to beat Windows in the PC market.

I agree on Minecraft and W10. I think people also forget that merch and skins will bring in decent revenue as well.
Nothing? Please. I'm not gonna derail this thread anymore with Phone talk but nothing is bullshit. Launching 950 same price as iPhones without apps and a beta OS was and still insane. But nope, keep believing that MS did their best.
And Zune. Yes, the same Zune that everyone still hold dearly to this day because it was yet another fantastic product killed because dear MS did the best they could.
For your own sake, you better hope Satya doesn't wake up one day and pull a Win Phone on Xbox.
