I'm guessing Sony will fund a new game, but Activision still owns Crash so this will be some form of cross promotion.

IIRC, he's been requested since the first game. While the games are primarily kid-friendly Diablo clones, they still have a ton of platforming elements to them that Crash would work perfectly with. People trying to equate this with the weird-ass Conker inclusion to Project Spark are really off-base.

In that game he was an enemy you could trap and use. Now, like Golden Queen they have their own figure.

Originally, not. The first games didn't even allowed to jump (outside the 3DS games, which played like the original Spyro games...ironically).

But the last ones allow it, and have more platforming elements, combined with the Diablo-like gameplay.

Is a good series of games, well done and polished too. With high production values.

I don't think this ends a new Crash game hope. One of the rumors was that Acti agreed to give Sony Crash in exchange for letting him be in Skylanders.

But that doesn't make any sense. It's their property. They can do whatever they want.

Now, I WANT TO BELIEVE that it's just to make the franchise more recognizable with kids these days. Just a mean of promotion for a true return... But it's hard to mantain hope after this.

That's why I think there's no way it would just be this. The shirt at PSX followed by Skylanders first is like a mini-Hashimoto-troll and then they announce real Crash right after Skylanders, like they did the two Star Wars games back to back last year.

Though the characters in Skylanders walk slowly and don't jump very high. So I can't really picture him controlling like he used to.
