I'm confused I guess. wouldn't Microsoft rather sell the S than the old fat?
Of course but who would buy the old model now?

no one. what's bad about that? I guess I don't get your original pointOf course but who would buy the old model now?
Well, you'll be able to buy the old model for a much better price, particularly with bundled games so I'm sure some people will opt for it.Of course but who would buy the old model now?
I just sold my fat Xbox One, there will still be a market for cheap fat Ones.Of course but who would buy the old model now?
Are there any XB1 owners considering getting an S and a Scorpio? 0_o

Interesting that in the second pic the USB ports are not numbered, but one is labeled Kinect.
Still looks like a usual USB port, maybe that one provides enough power through the adapter to power it?
Ok, I guess if it isn't advertised, it doesn't exist?

The Kinect port has HIGHLY LIKELY a higher amperage, so the Kinect gets enough juice.

It soubds like it's just slightly higher clocked or something. Not something most will notice. So the S is basically a 1.5 and the scorpio is a 2.0.
Interesting. Wonder how much?
DF going to have a field day
I thought they removed the Kinect port? Wait, is that just a USB port? Can you connect the Kinect (heh) via USB?

Currently yes, but you need an adapter that you must buy from Microsoft :

They said that people upgrading from One to One S could ask for a free adapter from MS.
But it would be great if a new revision of Kinect would be USB only...
Yeah..
DF Face Off: PC vs PS4 vs PS4Neo vs XBox1 vs Xbox1 S vs Xbox1 Scorpio
Phil said in the interview with Major Nelson that it has a built in IR blaster for people without Kinect and those that do can still connect it. The Kinect plug is different so will it come with an adapter? Or will you have to buy that separately?
Yeah..

Does the PC version of the Kinect use USB? That would make sense.
No, Many chose PS4 for MS's initial brainfart of all SKU's Kinect bundled always online DRM, takes people a while to forget what happened with the original launch announcement, although clearly some forget quicker than others.
