What did it look like? Plume of smoke?
No real deal, just unsure how I feel bout the hunting in the game. Not trying to derail.
Yeah, just like when you kill any other enemy in the game. POOF, then meat on the ground.

Where are you getting that there aren't any towns?
They just confirmed in an interview that the game will have no towns. They clarified that it's a Hyrule in ruins and they took direct inspiration from the world of the NES LOZ. They did confirm that there will be a handful of stray NPCs throughout the world but no towns or villages in the traditional sense. Also, they claimed that link will not have any kind of partner and will be exploring alone for the entire game.
No towns or villages, what.
But we saw some villagers who were working in the fields when the game was revealed, no?

Have they shown dungeons or puzzles yet? Game looks fun ,but I'm already getting tired of the meandering demo.
Towns have been disappointing in Zelda since Majora's Mask. I'm not too bummed about it.
They are really going back to the core of Zelda, and finally bringing that into 3D for the first time, and finally breaking away from the Ocarina of Time formula.
I'm really digging this. I think it looks awesome.
Does the no towns thing deserve a new thread?
You missed the hour of gameplay?I feel like this game is going to feel very empty, a total ghost town.
I'm picturing the areas between bosses in Shadow of the Colossus at this point, plus enemies.
Does the no towns thing deserve a new thread?
This game is insane. Game of the show.
Please remember that the Wii U is PS3/360 level, so HD towns in that machine are impossible, like FF13 demonstrated.

No towns? Not even small settlements?
Ugh.
Nope, it's just like Zelda 1. Which is coming up next in the Treehouse stream... how the game is inspired by Zelda 1.Does the no towns thing deserve a new thread?

I only watched the trailer thus far.
Aonuma refused to do any comments about towns and the player must find out while playing. (thats what he told to one of the IGN guys)
I thought the world looked empty and barren too, based on the trailer. But they also playd the game for an hour or so. Gameplay and certain decisions are great. Lots to discover.I only watched the trailer thus far.
What the fuck? How are you not going to have towns and villages in a game world like this? That is damn disappointing.
No town is actually pretty disappointing. What about the Rupee?
Hope you don't really believe thisPlease remember that the Wii U is PS3/360 level, so HD towns in that machine are impossible, like FF13 demonstrated.
Oh, phew, thank god
Like I just need 1 or 2 towns. Something like a kakoriko village, not even as full as Skyward Sword's skyloft or MM's clock town, is good enough
