Breath of the Wild is the official subtitle for Zelda U/NX, first gameplay trailer

I'm having trouble understanding how you could not like this. When we would make our whiny threads about what's "missing" from Zelda, pretty much every idea people would pitch has been in some way incorporated in this game. More open world, more seamless, more robust RPG elements, more puzzles, less useless rupees, sense of adventure... whatever it is we whined about, Breath of the Wild added it in.

People don't know what they want is usually the issue. I think this looks perfect.

Yep, and other NPC's around the world.

They already showed npcs in the first Zelda trailer:

I uh would buy NX for this game if it's not going to work on my wiiu ... I think this and horizon are my top e3 hyped games.

This looks absolutely gorgeous... Nintendo pls!

Can't believe people/trolls in this thread assumed there WON'T be towns, simply because they didn't show them in this demo.

OMG NO TOWNS
OMG NO NPCS
OMG NO DUNGEONS
SO BLAND
SO BORING

WAAAAAA

They didn't give us female Link despite never saying we'd get a female Link.

I actually wouldn't have had a problem with no towns.

Everything looks like this is going to be the pinnacle of the franchise imo.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
I'm actually somewhat disappointed there are towns.

Even if there wern't towns it would fit with the survival style of the game. Just you in this dangerous, unexplored world.

Stop inventing a narrative that isn't true. We got a report told from an interview there was no town. And we responded to it.

I'm glad there's towns.

So far they have shown me pretty much everything I have ever dreamed of out of a large, open world Zelda game.

Maybe I'm misremembering, but I feel like the OG reveal of this game 2 years ago looked a lot better. Now it just looks like it could do with more powerful hardware.

I am not sure how I would feel about no towns. I feel like they're usually the best part about the stuff between dungeons.

It's not like Dark Souls really has towns besides the hub, so I would probably be fine with it.

Ok, this game world is really REALLY big it seems. Quite impressive.

Oh there is fast travel as well through warping they just mentioned. I was just about to ask if the birds from Skyward Sword would need to make a return late game to make air travel possible. They'd suit this game far better than SS with its quite small overworld if you ask me!

It did happen though. People who were uninformed about the game got angry on a false report, towns don't even seem necessary and I'm not sure a lot of people who posted really understood what this game is.

I'd be fine without towns. They always seem to slow me down and overwhelm me in games like this, depending on their size and what they offer. Just give me some interesting people, locations, and lore to deal with throughout the game and I'm good. :)

Edit: Don't read this as I don't want towns. I'm OK with it either way.
