I seriously don't get it.
Considering the game has been announced 3 years ago, there is already a ton of information readily available to find for this game,
if one actually wants to find it.
Be it the multiple hands-on gameplay previews released back in May by the press, the full month of IGN firsts which have plethora of details on various gameplay mechanics, the dozen or so interviews and articles written on it.
At this point there is no excuse for those who genuinely want to know what this game is about, to actually find the information they are looking for and actually piece together the facts that have been known what this game has been about,
Has anything been said on whether the atlas, which is where players will be uploading their exploration data to is going to be universal across all platforms or will there be one for each PS4, XB and PC?
Seems a bit silly if there are 3 instances of the NMS universe due to cross platform red tape
Nothing that I'm aware of.
But seeing as this game is getting released day and date simultaneous release on both the PS4 and PC, I'd say a shared platform might exist in a manner similar to SFV for example.
This is actually one question that hasn't really been glossed upon in interviews.
Surprisingly considering my above post, this is one of the few things there are minimal details if any exist thus far.
In fact the online connectivity outside of uploading your findings to Hello Game's servers for the discoveries. beyond this there hasn't been anything else said as far as I'm aware.
You bring up a very good question though.
