Gleam giveaways killed my fake twitter account that I only had for giveaways, so I stopped doing them.

It killed my FB account too, I used that only to enter those giveaways, but FB sent me a notification and banned me for one month so I can't "like" anything during that time.

Yeah. That still won't stop people from spamming us with gleam links unfortunately.

I don't mind them myself. There are some gems, like the Lovely Planet giveaway the other day. (And a link every few pages isn't what I'd call "spamming us", either. It's not even enough to make a blip on the signal-to-noise ratio here.)

Is there not a SFV mod scene on PC? Because mods was basically the only reason I played SFIV any. I think Capcom knows people are less inclined to buy cosmetic DLC on PC because they can just use mods.

Its not that expensive to put the DLC on store. It's still money they can get from people who don't use mods.

Yeah there is some mods of the "nostalgia" costumes out already too. Tracer model update for Cammy and tons of other stuff.

yes and the mods are already miles ahead of what SF4 was in the same titme table. People did full on Overwatch mods with actual model changes, not just reskins

edit: double post of doom, no regrets

For you.
Capcom is apparently making SFV DLC that won't be available on steam. Hah man

Huh I thought it was $10. $25 is nuts for what's available in the pack.

edit: from evo thread

Unless I read it wrong , only the bundle is exclusive. The dlcs might be available separately on Steam?

Ugh

I need help with using my DS4 controller on Steam
I have Input mapper installed but it seems that Steam doesn't recognize the controller as if it is a 360 controller. Like in USF4 it thinks when I press 1 button it's like i am pressing multiple buttons at the same time.

Anyone know what's causing this? Note that I've done a fresh clean install and my other software recognize the DS4 just fine.
Would a restart help in fixing this?

Fire Emblem is selling like hotcakes but NO lets make a Shining Fighting game

This game's been around for a year now IIRC.
Besides how much do you know of the current Shining series?

The Lion's song episode 1 is really, really good.
I'm curious for the season pass price, since episode 1 is around 30 minutes long.

Wait... Episode 1 is free, but not the following episodes? I did not know that.

Also, unrelated, but reports of an attempt of a coup d'état in Turkey. World is crazy and crazier.

I don't understand, people say the season pass is 10$ in US, but I have no price listed, I can't buy it :S,

Also I hope Turkey is ok and the attempt won't happen. EDIT: It seems is going on, they can't even phone in Turkey, people are leaving the city.

Thea: The Awakening Demo

Hey all!

We've decided to do something crazy today. If you ever wanted to try Thea, but you were not entirely sure if you'd like it - now you can. But it's not just a demo. It is actually the full game!

Of course, we are not totally nuts, so the demo is not entirely up to date - it is Thea's Early Access version from October 2015. As you can imagine, from that moment we have added tons of new content and improvements, but it should be more than enough to check if you like the concept.

So - enjoy! We hope you like it enough to buy the game!

I'm hoping Thea hits a humble monthly but it might be a winter sale pickup for me if it doesn't. It looks pretty neat.

Goddamnit, every time zts gets mentioned, I end up listening to his Umineko songs.
Every bloody time.
Even if I was the person who did the mentioning.

Which post are you talking about where he says everyone will get their keys?

It was mentioned in a blog post comment, sorry, not a blog post proper: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=204701958#post204701958

This discussion is largely moot now that the Steam version is out and all current owners will get a key after all, but I remain leaning more towards that he didn't want to make a commitment as opposed to being a position where he couldn't make one.

Last killer instinct character reveal tomorrow during KI Evo. I'm betting on a Guest character. Since I feel like they want to go out with a bang, and that would be 4 guest and 4 KI which is nice and balanced.

Or it's gonna be that lame ass cyclops dude

Since it was announced they wouldn't be included anymore he's expressed interest in wanting to give them to everyone anyway if he could, though.

To me this seems like a very unlikely situation; a very highly dedicated developer decides to give out Steam key with purchases, then changes his mind and decides he actually doesn't want to anymore, lies saying he can't give them out now, then for 2 years gives people false hope about wanting to try to give them out if he can just so he doesn't have to be fully committed either way, and then ends up giving them to everyone in the end after all. That's what would have needed to have happened if that was the case and he just didn't want to. Yes it does seem strange for Valve to tell him that he can'te, but i really don't think he's the sort of developer who would just make it up. If he just didn't want to, he wouldn't have needed to invent some illogical reason why, he could have just said something along the lines of "I want it to be a special bonus for the very early supporters, so buy it before ____ when it'll end".

Compared to Valve for some reason telling him he couldn't, or there just being a misunderstanding, that doesn't seem likely at all.

Completed the fifth mission in Alien: Isolation. If you've played the game, I guess you know what I just went through.

This game may give me a heart attack (playing on hard, in the dark with headphones lol)

That's the point were I lowered the difficulty from hard to normal. Also, nobody should ever play this game other than in the dark with headphones.

Bundle Stars has the Quake Collection for $14.99

https://www.bundlestars.com/en/bundle/quake-collection

not the same Quake Bundle they offered in the past...that one was almost $5 cheaper and included Quake IV while this one is just the same Quake Collection that is on Steam that doesn't include that game

So the old one was cheaper and had one more game? I actually need the Quake games too.

Is it a possibility that English is a second language?

I picked that game up during summer sale and I had to stop playing after like 6 hours. The sound design was just making my heart shrivel up. I could feel that every and any little noise with headphones was making my health deteriorate. Fuck horror games.

Props to SEGA and CA tho. They put the audio production through an impressive amount of QA. I don't think I've ever played anything like it. Especially not in the first person genre.

Right, such as in that comment. A comment I find interesting because Valve's policy suddenly turns from "You can't promise keys after x date" to "You can't distribute keys until after the Steam Store release", which is also untrue. "I don''t promise keys because I can't sell them yet" doesn't even make sense.

I'm aware of the history of the situation and have already explained myself. Let's just agree to disagree.

God damn. Doom is soo good at Ultra Violence. It's just the right amount of challenge to make it super satisfying. I'm purposely only doing a mission or two every few days just to try and extend it as much as possible.

I finished Deadfall Adventures and I must say it is nice little adventure. Maps are huge and beautiful, characters are mediocre and story is simple but all in all it is solid game from that genre.

Here are some screenshots (random level order)
