It's amazing that such a rock-solid core fighting game engine like SFV was made by an otherwise completely inept company like Capcom.

Lots at companies make great products, but can't follow through on other stuff, like the game in my avatar, GW2 vanilla is the best MMO experience, the next expansion one of the worst MMO experience ever...
If they have a big SDCC announcement the delay makes sense- that stupid convention warps everything around it because of the media presence available to them.
Yeah, I agree. I remember when they revealed Ken at SDCC last year and it took hours for us to get the trailer. All we had to go off was shitty phone recordings and the infamous 'not a shoto' tweet.

I have no idea, but it was amazing to see everyone in that thread freaking out only to see a shitty cam-job of the trailer and just laugh.
There were certainly fireballs and uppercuts in the trailer, but most of it is tatsu combos. Guess he was a bit premature about it.

No. Boon did some teasing but apparently it was only about the EVO prize pool being increased or something.

NRS is gonna unveil 2 characters for Injustice 2 at Comic Con, most probably Captain Cold and Harley Quinn though they might be someone different.

You can see the screen fine.
To be fair Capcom is pretty good in developing core gameplay in most of their games and with the SF franchise they've had years of experience. However, it's the business strategy, content and marketing that leaves a lot to be desired. If SFV did not have this rock-solid gameplay it would have been dead in the water by now.

Capcom has already proven their definition of the word "surprise" is a bit different from most people. Probably just some additional costumes or stages.
Yeah, Juri trailer isn't really EVO hype levels but it could be something shown at a Comic Con panel if she comes out next week. The Juri and Urien teasers at the end of the balrog trailer were their big surprise moments really.
More modes. But seriously some tuning is needed for next year, up fight monies online and piggyback off tekken 7 by giving us Akuma
I kinda doubt that they'll have another character after Urien until 2017 (except maybe Decapre).

Yeah I'm expecting a big lot of nothing. I'm into figures and stuff so maybe on that front but no hope for any game-related stuff, really.

Yeah, probably just a mild announcement, like stages and stuff. Any game changing, non-cosmetic announcement will probably come after Urien is released or before/after Capcom Cup.
Yeah I feel like we need an Illuminat stage in the game. Urien's 2I/3S stage would be cool, but I'd like Gill's 2I stage more, personally.

It's mostly centred around collectibles stuff like comics, little figures people can buy etc etc. Pretty much things relevant to the audience at comic con.
I know collectibles and other stufff are going to being there, but they clearly say that they're talking about updates to SFV at the panel. I'm not expecting a megaton, just updates (like what they say is going to be there).

Well, they actually announced a lot of interesting stuff at EVO, but everyone says they "didn't reveal anything at EVO."
Apparently, the only thing that constitutes "real news", is a character trailer.
There probably won't be one of those. So, I'm just letting people know.
I'm sure they'll talk about SOMETHING...but, it won't be a character or a season 2 announcement. So people will consider it NOTHING and be disappointed.

At EVO, they announced the CPT Bundle which stole all the attention.
They announced throwback costumes which everybody liked.
They announced the classic Bison stage.

Well yeah I read that but my assumption is that, that part of the panel is the main chunk with some smaller announcements sprinkles in. At the very least they probably announce when we can start buying the survival colors and a bit more DLC. Not really personally expecting anything significant would love to be wrong tho.
Yeah I agree. Everyone (mainly KingBroly) was focusing on being pissed off at the DLC pricing when there was a quite some interesting stuff shown off. To be honest, I couldn't care less about a Juri trailer. I'd rather have more updates about stages, costumes ect. I never expected a Season 2 announcement lol

A Juri trailer would make sense as we're almost at the end of the month, but somehow I don't expect it to show up.
I want an update about bug fixing...they have so much stuff that either doesn't work or should be much better and they haven't even addressed most of it, it's ridiculous. How the hell is there no d-input support on PC yet? What's with the stats? A better ragequit solution? All that stuff.

Lol, everyone loses their mind when Ibuki is late...but, when Juri is early no one even notices.
