It was announced on August 3rd that Valve will be moving to a newer, much larger office in May of 2017.

Kemper Development Company (KDC), confirms today that Valve has leased 225,000 square feet of prime office space in the new office tower at Lincoln Square’s 1.5 million square foot expansion site. With the lease of floors 11 – 19, the company will encompass nearly one third of the total office space available in the new tower which features 710,000 square feet of Class A space.

The move to Lincoln Square from its current location represents an increase of approximately 100,000 square feet of space. “This lease puts Valve on the list of the largest companies in terms of office space in downtown Bellevue,” says Melby.

Valve is scheduled to move into the new space May of 2017.

That's a big increase in the amount of space that's going to be leased by Valve. It seems like they may be planning a good sized expansion of the company.

And Half Life 3 will still not be in development.

Hopefully Steam Support will stop being shit, though.

Ramping up for something. HL3 or a good customer service department?

Pahahaha. The latter is even more ulikely than HL3.

100,000 feet. Companies always give it their all, 100%. If we take that out...

Good customer support should be mandatory considering their platform, but that would require Valve to break their principles and to give enough of a shit.

Now they only need reboot Team Fortress and L4D series and they will have 4 huge games in their hands.

Team Fortress isn't going to get a reboot, TF2 is still the third most played game on Steam, has a thriving economy and has recently had updates designed to increase the playerbase by adding both casual and competitive matchmaking. They're trying to grow TF2's playerbase.

However every rumor and leak we've gotten out of Valve seems to suggest that Left 4 Dead 3 will be the first new game we get on Source 2.

They're ramping up for
becoming fully focused on CS:GO and DOTA 2

Seriously, fuck Valve. They're the western Konami at this point.

What the hell are you talking about? So because they have not announced anything in a while, your entitled ass have to make these whiny shitposts?

Valves primary income is Steam. They said more than half a decade ago that they were transistioning to being a multiplayer focused company. Many people still play L4D, L4D2 and TF2 as well. Saying that they are fully focused on CSGO and DOTA2? Ignorant horseshit.

Pie and Beans

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
Hope when they turn up theres a bunch of newly hired managers waving spike bats and saying "fun times over".

This is right by Bungie, isn't it? Like literally right by them?

Well, they're about a block away already.

I want to say there's one other major studio in that area of Bellevue, as well, but I can't remember what it is. I know ArenaNet is a couple km down the highway, so that's not who I'm thinking of.

(also I feel like Sucker Punch's location is wrong; I coulda sworn they were in the same building as Valve...that's just what Google Maps shows)

All these hat jokes were hilarious years ago.

Exactly, they're timeless.

Well, they're about a block away already.

See, they can wheel those desks over. They could surf them over even.

How is Valve's customer support lately? It's been a while since I used it and they promised improvements, so any recent experience from anybody in gaf?
