I'd love to me up with everyone.

But I left mid game 3 or something, can't really remember.

Insane fever.

Love you all xoxo.

LiQuid!

I proudly and openly admit to wishing death upon the mothers of people I don't like
Hope you survive long enough to get back to your free health care TUSR. Good luck!

The entire event came across very well when viewing at home. I would love more feature content than walking around doing awkward fan interviews. I had to mute the stream with that poor girl that couldn't get DC out of her mouth because she was so nervous. So glad DC placed well, and what appeared to be the best team won.

i dunno man, ET is not an easy hero so i feel he doesn't deserve a nerf
sd and mirana are definitely getting them though

I plan to do a more detailed writeup tomorrow when I get home, but in short: TI6 was awesome, and even better than last year. I hope to go again next year, at the very least to the finals if I can't make the whole week.

Yeah i have Good alibi this year, peace yall

I can confirm.

Congrats to Wings. They were simply the best team. They proved you don't need a meta if you have the best team(at least in the current patch, heh). I'm happy to say I had them winning it all in my predictions and bracket. I had a good feeling about Wings after watching them win The Summit 5. They beat OG in the winners bracket, then again in the grand finals. You could see even then that their teamwork was superb and they were going into TI6 full stride, at their best.

So I would have missed my original flight by ~10 minutes. They hadn't left, but the door was closed and they were pushing away the second I walked past. Glad I was able to change it to this one boarding shortly.

Did I miss anything major after the lifting/interview? I'll probably rewatch the final moments on twitch tomorrow when I wake up.

And feel free to come on by the Dota2 thread over in Community, we don't all bite!

So were you in there at the end or not?

You didn't particularly miss anything in the postgame stuff. If you want to go watch it on Twitch you can, but just postgame banter, Purge weatherman, congrats Wings, etc.

I left my seat the second the GGs were dropped. Out of the arena into the corridors after the fireworks stopped but before DC were out of their both for handshakes. I was in the lawn area during the winners interview.

Yeah, you didn't miss too much. The winners interview was cool and then the panel was just standard banter.

This was probably my favorite TI, was happy that Na'Vi won the first one and TI 3 was pretty good. But this one was just crazy all the way through and so well done across the board. Great Dota all around and an awesome meta

DC thought that picking Slark and giving it to W33 instead of Resolution would turn okay. I believed them at first, but you have to admit: W33's Slark is subpar, better than Resolution's Slark, but subpar.

If you cannot play a hero at a pro level, then do not pick it at the grand finale of TI.

Isn't Slark one of resolution's signature hero?

As far as i remember, Resolution was like 7-1 with Slark at this TI before the finals, how the fuck is that subpar? He was on fire in general, and with Slark in particular for the entire tournament.

What's wrong with Resolution's Slark?

As far as i remember, Resolution was like 7-1 with Slark at this TI before the finals, how the fuck is that subpar? He was on fire in general, and with Slark in particular for the entire tournament.

He buys a shadow blade and does nothing with it.

He watches w33 and his teammates fight the other team. Then he escapes with full hp, 3/4 of mana and an unused cheese, when his team is dead. He does this all the time, even when defending his throne.

Most importantly, he uses dark pact with bad timings all the time. Just watch Miracle- play Slark and you will see how Resolution's and W33's dark pacts are always suboptimal.

Anyway, DC realized it and gave Slark to w33 in the final game, so there has to be some truth to it. At least, w33's Slark is not as painful to watch as Resolution's.

To say something positive about Resolution, his Razor is totally amazing.

Just watched the games. Holy shit Wings just dismantled everyone and everything. Aside from one questionable teamfight (the one where Axe got arrowed and they still decided to follow up) which didn't even end up THAT bad in the end, they played seemingly flawless. Highest level Dota I have seen yet, well deserved victory!

Don't think ET should get a nerf. Great hero, obviously easy to land stomp if you have a setup.

He doesn't need a setup. You can just drop spirit on somebody and it moves fast enough they can't even avoid the stomp unless they have a mobility skill or item. The AOE is too large.

How can you not love a team that says fuck you to the meta, pick whatever the fuck they want (including Pudge and Techies) and then go on to become world champions. Congrats to Wings for dominating the tournament and showing everyone how you don't need to pick the same 15 heroes every time. Also DC did a great job of demolishing almost everyone who came in their path and doubted their individual abilities before the roster lock. They absolutely deserved their spot in the finals over everyone else who kicked them from their teams or ignored them or whatever.

And seriously, what a great tournament this ended up being. High production values, new hero reveals and just nothing going wrong is a sign of great management of the event. Extremely high level of play where any team truly could beat anyone else. One or two small issues with the meta which will get sorted soon enough but otherwise Dota is in a great place right now. And a very good showing from South East Asia.

finals kind of sucked just because wings were too overwhelmingly good and dc choked a bit

the highs were about as good as last year, i don't think the skill ceiling has really gone up much but the teams are all closer together

i think ti5 was better just because it was closer but this one was really good and wings clearly deserved it, they were head and shoulders over everyone else in the game
