No they are not.

If you buy keys from a marketplace - where anyone can put up one - sure, you'll find shady things.

But resellers buy keys in bulk or buy physical copies from cheap regions. There's nothing illegal or shady about that.

CD Keys is legit in the sense that people generally don't have issues, but it's not legit insofar that the keys are sourced directly from publishers.

They're hit/miss in that regard, honestly. But I've never had to wait more than a few hours after launch.

The discount is worth the small inconvenience (if it happens), IMO.

You get the preorder DLC from GMG. You don't get the deluxe edition DLC if that's what you're talking about.

They usually state on the product page if it will have pre-launch delivery. Sometimes it will say delivery on launch date. For Overwatch people didn't get their keys until the game had already been out like a full day and a lot of people were angry.

You're buying a Steam key, not access to the game data itself via GMG's Capsule client.

They were a few days late getting Star Wars BF keys out last year if I recall. In general, they are pretty good though and I've personally always got my keys at least a day early.

I'll try to process a refund if the site ever comes back up. Bought it from them just the other day for $45. Feels bad :\

Yep I was thinking of the marketplace sites. Sorry guys! The article I read mentioned CD keys, but not directly tied into this, at least if you read it twice. Lots of artiles being careless like that.

There's also coupon -5% off at cdkeys.com Facebook site, I don't know if it registers your mail to some newsletter or anything so I just used 10 minute mail on it and the code itself worked.
Won't link it in case it's some newsletter people don't want in their inboxes, but people can probably find it easily enough. Apparently the coupon changes every few minutes so be quick to use it.

In the review embargo thread someone with a 770 was getting about 40fps on ultra, they settled on medium settings for 60fps.
