Just put about two hours into the beginning of the game. If anybody has any questions I'll be more than happy to answer what I can with spoiler tags of course. No story questions simply because I barely know anything and this is simply not the place.

Personally, I think a review isn't relevant if they haven't at least completed the story. It may work as a first impressions or a preview.. but I don't feel you can render a full verdict on a narrative-driven game without completing the narrative.

How do you like it so far? Thanks! :p

Bored and reading more previews of the game lol...

Just read an IGN developer interview with some gravy news

NG+ CONFIRMED!!!

"We also have cool new additions in Mankind Divided like NG+ so if you finish and want to restart the whole game and see different ways the story plays out while decked out with all your augmentations, you can do that. "

On Game Length:
"Compared to Human Revolution I don’t know if we have more square meters but we have a much denser city hub environment. I think ultimately depending on how you play you can spend 20-35 hours on the main mission, but some players spend so much time reading and exploring everything it can take a lot longer. "

Cannot contain my hype anymore guys...help lol

Excellent, now I don't have to feel guilty that I'm putting all current Praxis kits towards hacking.

How's the PS4 version because unfortunately my pc can't handle this game :/
So far so good for me, but whenever I start running in the city hubs framerate starts dropping. That's the only time I've seen it drop. Can't really speak for combat since Im taking my time and doing a slow stealth playthrough.

It is definitely slightly janky so far. The game is far from unplayable, but it does noticeably chug during some gameplay moments as well as some of the early game cutscenes. It isn't a huge problem for most console players, but I am used to playing on a PC so it was bothering me for a bit.

Definitely something that you will get used to after a couple hours of playing though!

Pixel's Game review covered that:
PC Port

Two quick things to mention before I move on to the PC port, the first is that loading screens are a little excessive especially when loading your save file or riding the train. Both of them take like a good minute which is a little too long but hopefully they patch that out soon. The second is that I was unable to play the breach mode of Mankind Divided due to it requiring an internet connection, now though from my understanding it does seem like a nice distraction from the main game I sadly can’t judge that because the online isn’t available right now.

I’m sure many of you are probably wondering how the PC version of Mankind Divided is since Nixxes is handling the port. I’m happy to say that the PC port of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is great, it has almost every option you want and you can even toggle many of the effects such as chromatic aberration and sharpen. It runs great on my GTX 770 on medium settings and I’ve had little to no issues with the performance of my system. If there’s one thing that the port could’ve done better is including what number the FOV slider is at because using percentages is a little confusing but that’s more of a nitpick. Coming from Nixxes this is not really a surprise since most of their track record is great but it’s nice to see this port isn’t as bad as something recent like No Man’s Sky.

The bolded is really disappointing. That was the biggest issue with launch day Human Revolution for me. As far as I remember, they later patched out the insane loading times. So what is that shit doing in Mankind Divided? A lot of us "perfectionists" will quickload a lot during the first couple of missions, which will presumably be a horrible experience due to the loading times. It makes me shudder to think about the 10 minutes of loading screens that I will have to endure to hack the difficult computer panels in the first hub ...

Is there ANY melee combat this time around? Non-lethal melee like we had in the first game with batons, etc.

Or is it still restricted to just takedowns?

Not sure I understand your question, but from what I've seen, if you get close enough to enemies you can initiate non-lethal or lethal melee combat.

How about stun guns?

Tranq rifle and stun gun are in
, both shown in promo footage and on early streams. You get asked the same question at the start of MD like you did in HR and pick which one you want, idk how easy it is to get the other, probably easy.

Review code provided by the developers, I work for opencritic so I asked if there was a chance they have codes and in fact they did.

Also I'm one of the 30 launch partners for the contributor program that just launched today, this program is indented for smaller publications like myself.

Just got linked this post. Sorry for quoting several pages back. But just want to be clear here: you are not employed by OpenCritic, nor do you have any contractual relationship with us.

Knowingly breaking an embargo is a serious mistake, one that calls into question your motives for reviewing games to begin with. Are you posting your reviews to help others? Or are you just doing it to gain a quick follower or two? Regardless, it's not sustainable and certainly not something that OpenCritic will support. The entire reason we made OpenCritic is to better the industry for all parties, and we believe embargoes do that. One reason we believe that is for what's you've been called out on in this thread: so that no one's pressured to publish a review after only a few hours.

We've disabled your contributor account for the time being; I'll discuss next steps with the team in the morning.

This just got real.
