Not knowing who Drizz was, just reading some of his posts makes me sad. To lose such a helpful, driven and young person is just so unnecessary and tragic. I can't think how sad I'd be if I like some of you spent a significant chunk of in game time with him and got to know him. My condolences to you, his friends and his family.

It took a bit of searching but I found it. In terms of sheer quantity, persistence and selflessness, his Skolas MoT runs really stood out to me over the last couple of years. He helped an awful lot of people, in both GAF and outside of GAF. An amazing effort.

As someone noted, he would sometimes solo it up to Skolas and then get people in for the final round once they were online...

101 Skolas clears in time for the Triumphs deadline. Congrats the many, many Skolas School graduates! It's a proud day at Sherpa University.

Many thanks to kindly Gaf Guardian BarrowRow for dropping out at Skolas so that we could get somebody else in who still needed the Triumphs. Thanks to iRawr for engaging pro-mode on our no-wipe 55 minute PoE35 run to squeeze one final run in before the deadline.

My game has crashed 5 times on Skolas tonight. Wasted so much time!! Patch 2.0 sux0rs. Can't wait for TTK. Hyyyyyppeeeeee....

Just wanted to add to the condolences for Drizzay's family and his close friends here on Dgaf.

I'd just returned to destiny after a long break and the year one triumphs seemed like a huge feat. Thanks to alot of people on dgaf I worked through most of them but had given up finishing them due to the 'Bane of Skolas'. It was Drizzay who patiently, calmly & with great humour ran me and another gaffer through it. That feeling when we finished it after two earlier wipes was fantastic, all thanks to Drizzay guiding us through it!

I rocked that blue skolas ship for a long time. Next time I jump back on to Destiny I'll have to make it my active ship again.

Thanks for the Skolas run Drizzay.

Wow, rough news to wake up to. My condolences to his family and loved ones.

I never had the pleasure of playing with Drizz but I've seen his presence in this thread and in the community and he will be missed for sure :(

I never played with the Dr however as I lurked these threads a lot I always saw his posts and people thanking him for helping runs or getting the plat

he was a pillar of the DGAF community

I do expect Bungie to honor a big pillar who is missing from the community but it's for them to do on their own initiative. They know and we know.

A pillar has been lost, but we do have his little light with us still.

If anyone need some venting or anything, feel free to PM me as I know he meant a lot and we all grief in different ways and if you need someone to talk to, even if it's just to get something off your chest in private, I'll listen. It's better than bottling it up inside.

Take care DGAF.

Even though everybody is understandably sad today, I do need to give a shoutout to DGAF newcomer K.Sabot, who over the weekend helped me knock off the Refer-a-Friend quest.

I gave him a few pointers along the way, but our time zone differences make putting together a raid team of six people kind of impossible. I therefore defer to DGAF's open arms to welcome him into the newbie raid at the first possible opportunity.

Woke up today and hoped it all had been a bad dream.

:(

Me too. Still can't believe it. I don't want to believe it.

I wasn't close with Drizzay but did have some good times with him and he helped me and others here a lot, plus he knew what he was talking about and even shared my criticisms for Year 2 of Destiny. I can't believe it man. I can't.

Same. Really couldn't sleep last night as I was turning and tossing. I explained what had happened to my fiance after the news broke yesterday and I just broke down in front of her. I wasn't as close to Drizz as some of you but I played with him numerous times and he was always giving my pointers for trials. I listened and soaked up everything I could.

I am just a year younger then he was and He gave me some great life advice about marriage afew months back. 33 is way too young to go and it makes me sick it could have been prevented.

Reading that OT on gaming side and all comments in here, it really is amazing how much of an impact he really had. I mentioned this in Discord last night but I would LOVE for Bungie to acknowledge him in game with a emblem or maybe an exotic armor or weapon. I know DGAF isisnt the only community but his impact on here was beyond anything I have ever seen.

I remember watching this stream cheering them on. Just amazing stuff.

If you guys don't mind posting images (gifs) and or video of fond memories with Drizzay. It would really help us for the next OT.

I'm talking to people about an emblem or weapon or something getting in.

We'll see if we can get something, I hope so he deserves it.

Good to hear mate. When the time comes, I'm sure people here will be eager to help, timezone permitting.

Hope everyone here is doing alright following yesterday's news. Wishing everyone the best.

A ship would be nice

A ship to carry people to different planets and to different activities, like how Drizz carried alot of community people through different things

Going to need them to see if I can get something together for that.

Please post or PM videos or stream recordings that have his voice, and list special moments in them.

I wanted to share one example of the many selfless Drizzay acts with everyone here. Drizz once helped my "less than capable" friend Madvaz through Skolas for his year 1 triumph. At the time, Drizz was aware I had already completed this so the majority of this video is him explaining to Madvaz in detail what to do. I had streamed this LIVE Last year to a few mutual friends of Mad and I so naturally you'll see some butt and crotch shots at the beginning of the vid while the Doc drops some knowlege to him. Don't let that distract from what I thought was disappointing at the time..... Only capturing Drizzays audio for the majority of the stream.

Enjoy.

Yep same here :( Sitting at work reading through the last couple of pages since I last logged on and I'm tearing up again. Still can't believe it...

Great idea. That would be truly fitting.

I was hoping to go through my PS4 trophy history today and see how many shots Drizzay was in, but it won't turn on from remote play. I'm glad I snapped a picture of this before trophies even auto-snapped.

Got the video too, but didn't capture any audio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yla-hx-YYG0

Drizzay was there for my first (super glitchy) hard Crota kill: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFMOyNgccHc

Drizzay was there for my first hard Oryx kill.

Sadly I don't think I have many :(

The only one I could find this morning was a full fireteam with us all wearing our flawless emblems. post

I have hundreds of screens, I'll have to look over them all tonight to see if I have anything better.

Flawless Bro's Assemble!

Man, this just isn't going to be the same without Drizzay. Destiny won't be the same without him. Rise of Iron won't be as sweet without him. Destiny 2 won't be as epic without him.

No it won't. Just goes to show much someone can influence and have an impact on our lives without even knowing them irl

The Doctor of Destiny.

I remember telling Drizzay that finishing below me was the ultimate insult as I'm average to rotten:

The next time we played:

I was so busy laughing and so was he. Thank you buddy for very fond memories.

Does anyone want to help me with the NF?

I'm at LL 326 and basically struggling to make any progress go 335.

Are you playing Iron Banner? When IB is on it's a quick way to level up. All the drops will be +1 to +6 light of your current LL, so even if the rolls are not good you can use them for infusion to increase your light.

This week is primary, special, chest and helmet from Iron Banner, and you can also get a ghost.

Honestly, 326 LL is more than fine for all activity in Destiny right now so don't worry too much about it.

I can help. GutZ31 on PS4.

I actually think you are better off doing stuff like strike playlist on hard with a faction booster, but we can do the Nightfall.

And of course the infamous shoulder charge: https://youtu.be/Vsv4FXIcqtU?t=2m7s

He was so mad about that at the time but after about a week he could laugh at it. Come on, 99% of the time when you shoulder charge a teammate, you just smack them in the back. How could I know it would squeeze him in the wall?

Guys, please don't forget if you have videos that include DD's voice, please pm me the links?

Allen's wife Lauren is looking for as many as she can find. I'll forward her the links.

Much love DGAF

Yeah I am playing IB but I wasn't sure there was much point after hitting Rank 5.

I'm also quickly learning I suck with HCs. I'm awful when I play withFinnala's Peril or Luna.

Here's the one I posted yesterday. You can barely see him, but that's him with the sword.

Like many others here, he helped me get my Flawless Raider trophy. This was taken on July 19, 2015, at 7:43 PM. Here's the post.

So Urk has announced his support if we planned something:

Should we do something? Can we?

What could it be?
First, we need to set up a Paypal to send a ridiculous set of flowers to his family on Wednesday.

I could volunteer for that if no one else feels they'd be better.

I've not played with him personally but I saw a lot of the times he helped others

RIP and condolences to his family, for I'm sure he will be missed
