I would like to suggest this. No matter how we name the OT, i am sure Drizzay would love the community to carry on his work, his legacy, that is... in helping each other, as he always helped all of us in the past.

I haven't got much to say really, he was a lovely, honest, helpful and friendly guy.
The amount of raids, PVP matches, and laughs we had was unreal,
he kept me in check when the other side was still toxic,
assured me that he wanted to see me here and not banned for another petty fight. He really was just a lovely and great guy.
He did so much, asked for nothing, just a conversation as we did the things.

Thanks for everything Drizz, you will be deeply missed by us all.

Jigga I need Oryx HM for the Triumph, if you ever have a slot in a run this week let me know anytime. I just started my holidays.

I need it for the triumph.

And the Taken King trophy.

And the other Taken King trophy.

And Guardian Lord.

Let me know too!

I need help to get these guys get their shit done. If there's not enough experience, we can break up the rookies and get it done in multiple runs. What time is convenient for you?

I'm free anytime. As I said I'm on holidays right now, and I'm only busy tomorrow night CET. I've already killed him with my brothers account (but not mine -_-) so I know the drill.

Basically, anything that's not around 4pm-8pm EST, on account of I'm in Japan and that's super early morning here. I'm also on vacation so pretty much anything else will do.

Rest in peace, Drizzay. I never got to play with you, but your contribution - as reflected in this thread - to the community was immeasurable.

I just woke up to this terrible news, wow.....

I don't post here a lot, but I;ve been a member for a while. Drizz was always there to help everyone, I know I used to bug him for checkpoints every week. First Gorgon's Maze checkpoints, then totems in Oryx. He even helped me get my Black Spindle after I had failed like 10 times that day.

Thanks for everything Drizz, you'll definitely be missed buddy :(

This. Imagine we all helped even 1% that Drizzay did!

What I really liked about Drizz was he was always trying to be positive with the OTs, through all the salt and droughts he was always bringing back on a sensible level. A great DGAF legacy.

RIP Drizz. I don't think I ever invited him to a party for a raid and he declined. Had the whole community on his back. What a legend.

My condolences to his family.

I was thinking - what if we picked a day where we all spend whatever time we can helping people complete things in Destiny? I know an awful lot of that goes on anyway, but the emphasis could really be on helping others. From all the posts on here, about how much he helped people, this seems like a fitting way to remember him?

Could be his birthday? or a date in August to commemorate his 150+ Skolas MoT runs?

Not sure what it could be called, I can only think of DrDrizzay day or Moments of Drizz which are a bit naff :-(

A lot of us thinks Bungie should do a community spotlight for Driz. If not any other thing at the very least that. He's done more for anybody in the game than anyone else period. You have streamers out there asking for payment to carry people, etc, Driz did it for the love of the game and just to help others out. His efforts weren't just for gaffers, it's for anybody who played the game.

I want a grimoire card in the next expansion.

Community Spotlight is the perfect tribute to Drizzay IMO, he truly embodied what it means to be part of a community, both in deeds and spirit.

Very few screenshots survive on my PS4, but...I have two from the Flawless Raider run we did a month ago.

I haven't played Destiny since I started working about a year ago, but come september I should have a tiny little bit of more free time (new position).
I read tons of good stuff about TTK, but even with more free time, I won't be able to grind for exotics like in the old days and certainly not with three different characters - so my question to DGAF is: how's Destiny post TTK to casual players? How much time would have to be invested to partake in end-game PvE content without having to be carried (starting from a maxed out pre-TTK character)?

So sad to read about Boguester. He was so helpful to me... and a friend to some here... he definitely will be missed. Bungie should honor him somehow, he did help a lot of their users out. Rest in Peace.

EDIT: Removed. Not fully thought through and also needlessly distracting from what´s really important.

Sorry Guardians.

On a side note: While the Luke and Urk where amongst the first to react to this tragedy, Destiny´s community manager is silent (so far).

I'm usually the first to pile in on them but I wouldn't sweat it. GAF isn't on Deej or Cozmos radar, he got the ones that matter

Look, I'm going to sound like an asshole for saying this, but requiring recognition is not cool. Does the Dr deserve it? Yes, a thousand times over. But DestinyGAF isn't the only the Destiny community and not the only one to lose a loved member. Calling Cozmo out like this is not ok. It's awesome that Luke and Urk commented on it, and I think they truly recognize how special drizz was to the community.

Even then, as others are mentioning, he's probably been busy.

The news broke in the weekend. Also GamesCom was going on 'till yesterday, which they were attending. I would not sweat it too much either. Urk and Luke have always been one of the few Bungie employees actually active on GAF after we scared away Deej. There's also literally hundreds of Destiny communities besides us.

How about we just remember Drizzy instead of worrying about that. One of his last passings of knowledge onto us.

And urk is their boss. So hopefully something has been said. We will just have to see if they reach out for contributions to a community focus or something.

I dont think there is anyone who gave so much to the community without wanting anything in return. No payments / likes / subs needed unlike most of the people spotlighted.
