Is this supposed to look relatable?

Going by the order of words, the democrats are the outsiders?

Let me let you know how this is going to play out.

If Hillary wins by 1 Electoral College vote- She lacks a mandate! She had all the advantages and she barely won. This isn't what the people wanted. Etc.

If Hillary wins by a bajillion-She only won because she ran against Trump. He was a weak candidate. Anyone would have beaten him. Candidate Y would have won by more.

There is no situation in which the margin by which Hillary wins is meaningful in anyway whatsoever. She will be shit on for a big win. She will be shit on for a small win. That's how this will go.

I don't see things that way, she has her own problems so a big victory has its merits. A small victory legitimatizes the Trump movement, a big victory proves it's a fringe movement.

What's more important? First female president/3rd term Democrat or defeating this movement?

More important? I mean, these are not mutually exclusive, of course. It's important to like the safety of the planet that Hillary wins. Whatever else we can do is good but it's not like these shitbirds will crawl back into their holes.

I mean, like, his movement is legitimized. That's not going away. Repudiating him will make us feel good. It will make rational people feel good, but we're not going to unfuck this chicken. But it's neither here nor there. I just don't think you earn style points. This isn't the BCS Era anymore.

I actually think those are his kids...but they look fake so I can't tell for sure...

I know. Those are the only three available, though. :p And, where the hell is Tiffany? Its like they wrote her out of Season 2.

At this point. Dems should focus on taking back as much of the House and Senate as possible.

The Trump movement has been legitimized at this point. After the election is how much the GOP is willing to distance themselves from it.

How much this group splinters off remains to be see.

Agreed.

I think Clinton has made enough overtures to the center GOP voters who abhor Trump. Stop distancing Trump from the GOP and start tying the whole party to him. Every candidate needs to answer a constant barrage of questions about whether they agree with Trump on certain statements and if the answer is no, then they need to be hammered on their continued endorsements.

saw this on twitter. looks like a tv show thing

They look like androids but on the other hand Don Jr's hair on the right side is fucked up... but then I'm like "Maybe they did that on purpose to try to make Replicant Don look less like a replicant?!" as my head explodes.

Right now it seems like McCain is distancing himself from Trump,

I agree. Hillary at some point needs to tie the GOP to Trump. At the point do you get people like Ryan etc hopefully hit with the hard questions.

But yea these people have always been here. That racist, hateful element has always been here. They are legitimized because Trump is a potential President. The longer the GOP gives this man the position of leadership of their party. They give that movement clout.

They already purged their half sister from existence in the photo as well so it all works with the narrative.

Lol, every time my mom hears about Trump's kids on the news she always wonders where Tiffany is.

It apparently blew her mind back in the day that Trump named his daughter after a jewelry store.

They're not mutually exclusive, but getting back the Senate and making live more difficult for Ryan is pretty remarkable for a 3rd term Democrat.

The GOP is already fucked with the African-Americans, they're probably on their road to fucking themselves with the latinos for generations, Hillary is president and hopefully some of the older liberal justices get the hint and retire, what can the GOP aspire to on a national level? They're not winning the presidency with the Trump-Palin style of candidate, and that movement will lose steam since it's non-existent in Washington and in the donor class.

I'm not sure it's been legitimized, there's no organization behind it, just some opportunism from some well-known political figures. Has there been a pro-Trump downballot upset? That movement will probably continue, but what's in it for Trump? He's not running again, and his only kid that could pull off all the BS is Jr.

Ya'll want to know why the Ipsos State polls (and probably tracking) are pure and total shit. They adjusted their model for turnout in bizzaro land.

In this scenario: Currently, Reuters/Ipsos estimates overall turnout at around 60%, although that rate varies among different demographic groups. Minority turnout, for example, is expected to be about 43%, while about 59% of African-American women and 69% of White men are projected to cast ballots.

So, let's break this down.

60% turnout? So, this election is going to have higher turnout than 2012? And 2008? And 2004? and 2000 alllllll the way back to 1968. That's the last time turnout hit 60%. But, okay, so let's say I buy that turnout is going to be 5 points from 2012.

Second problem. Minority turnout is going to be about 43%. I can give you individual breakdowns by year and race, but I'm going to do just an average:

2012: 51.9%
2008: 54.5%
2004: 49.8%
2000: 44.5%

So, they expect a lower minority participation rate than in any year since 2000. There is absolutely nothing whatsoever to suggest this is the case. We've seen an increase in registration among people of color, particularly Hispanic voters. We just had an election in which one candidate's coalition was predominately people of color and they easily came out and dominated a coalition that was white and disproportionally male.

Problem the 3rd, their model originally called for 70% turnout among all eligible white males. They adjusted it down to a far more reasonable 69%

WOCvoters_web2.png

This is from 2012. If 69% of white males vote, then the non-participation rate among registered, white male voters would be 3.2%. THREE PERCENT. Not only that, but overall participation would have to jump by almost 7% among white men.

Problem the 4th, that participation rate among African American women is disgusting, and anyone who came up with that number is bad and should feel bad. In 2012, African American women broke the 70% participation rate for the first time ever. As in....ever. No other group has done that. But, somehow, Hillary's best demographic, the corner stone of her coalition is suddenly going to stay home when the alternative is DONALD TRUMP? The man with an approval rating among African Americans so small that it looks huge in his tiny little baby hands?

Bitch please. IPSOS, get your shit together. Find Jesus. Do something, girl.

Tiffany is just very young (22) and grew up apart from Trump. She didn't major in business and so isn't at home in the Trump board room. The other three are pretty much his lieutenants and in a hypothetical Trump administration would probably be as influential as cabinet Secretaries. Maybe more so.

And let's just say that, for some reason, I fell on my head, woke up straight, forgot how politics work, and buy into these insane demographics.

The results from IPSOS make no fucking sense. Hillary is winning Ohio by 7! She's losing Wisconsin, though. Michigan, who knows!? Too close! DEAD HEAT! Kentucky is a 2 point race, and too close to call, but Nebraska is a 4 point Hillary lead! Because, obviously it would be, why wouldn't it? Maine is tied, but Trump is up 15 (fifteen. ONE-FIVE) in New Hampshire! North Carolina is safe Hillary, but we ain't too sure about DC, as in Washington DC!

I mean, come on.

tl: dr my two rants? Lemme sum it up for you.

With someone's id and password I could "breach" the fucking FBI! That does not mean the FBI is insecure! It just means don't give someone your id and password!!

Yeah, for the standard back in the late 2000s.

By modern standards of security having someone's ID and password wouldn't be enough.

You'd also have to have a VPN connection (which would require having a valid client certificate) and probably access to their 2FA (a smartcard or their cellphone to receive a text message).
