Did you guys find out about the cover image for profile? I assume you did.
I think he may be talking about download speeds?
I'm getting my full speed. I've tried a bunch and every once in a while I am getting about half speed, but if I add another download, it looks like it gets full speed. Things still seem to be limited in the web browser if you try to do an html-based speed test in there, though. I wonder if still limit everything besides downloads to prefer better latency over bandwidth usage.

I'd want a grid layout too, but maybe we're not getting it because below each game tile there is a hub page? Maybe we're not getting a grid because of that. I'm sure there's a workaround but maybe the workaround makes for a less smooth experience?

Among the things I don't like, the redesigned "What's now". I really liked that the old version behaved like the cards in Google+. Not it is just two zoomed columens that have to be switched and you have to scroll item by item instead of being able to see multiple ones.
Also, you still have to clear the downloads list one by one. :/
BTW, I keep having video issues. Yesterday I would get only sound, and a black screen. I had to unplug and plug the hdmi so that it would detect it properly.
Share button not pausing the game anymore is a bit annoying. But I guess that's the same for quick menu.

Seems like they sacrificed the ability to eyeball a ton of tiles to put those shortcuts in when they could have easily just put those shortcuts in the options menu and have it be just as fast. It not like you can even comment without opening a new page so I don't see the point...from a speed perspective.

Complete opposite for me, it's way better now cleaner easier to read and display. Before it was random boxes of all sizes scattered all over the place, it was a mess it's way more readable and clean now.And I demand the blood of a virgin (preferrably lesbian):

You prefer to have to scroll six pages to see what you used to be able to quickly see on one? Not sure how it's more usable now. I guess if you're far away from your tv...
My thoughts as well, the scattered boxes were too messy.

Has anyone experienced hearing the PS button sound while playing a game? By PS button sound I mean the sound byte it plays when pressing or holding the PS button to go back to home menu or vice versa.
Last night and the night before while playing Siege, Rocket League and Fallout 4 I kept on hearing random PS button sounds on a random basis. At first I thought it could be a fault with the pad but after swapping my black pad to my gold pad it kept on happening.
Same happened last night. I was sat on the Fallout 4 pause menu so the room was very quiet and it happened again. I was freaked out but obviously it has to be a bug right?
Edit: Obviously I'm on the 4 Beta firmware and I'll clarify that upon hearing the PS button sounds it doesn't drag me out to the home menu like what would happen if I actually pressed the button. Only the sound of the button plays.

The only change to recorded video is that you can now record up to an hour at 720/30fps; but the way they've worded the description is interesting and suggests to me that both resolution and frame rate will be controllable in future, although most likely only on newer revisions. It would be interesting if anyone who already has the Slim has tried putting the beta firmware on to see if any more options open up.

Youtube doesn't work on 4.00? I just tried it today and it keeps loading without starting the app.

There's more to good UI than "how much data can I put on one screen".
It's much less of an overload eye blast of information now and more manageable, I'd say.
But it's cool if we disagree.
Edit: But for what it's worth, I still don't like it.
Except now it wastes a ton of space because the tiles are fucking huge. If the tiles were like 2/3 the size you could at least get a few more rows in there and that would at least be a decent compromise if you think the previous feed was "overload"
You literally have one tile per page now for many events. Why is the no man's sky image so big?
If you even have a small number of friends that happen to do a lot of things on ps4 do you realize how much scrolling you'll be doing? Not to mention those with large friends lists.

Weird. I tried to delete the app from PS4. It got stuck. I restarted the PS4 and I found it deleted. When I tried to redownload it, I got the menu stuck showing the Playstation buttons. Dunno why Youtube behaves like this on 4.00.
I've had all live streams messing up but, on my phone and laptop are fine.
I have actually grown to it. At first I was like it's all to big. Now I feel like it fills the screen fine.
Eh I was warming up to the old version as they slowly made it more useful and readable with each update.
As an aside is anyone else always having access issues getting into the beta foeums? Seems like I can't access it like half the time.

I tried to share play yesterday but couldn't seem to do it, did a bit of searching and I read that if you have a beta firmware and the person you're trying to share play with doesn't then you won't be able to share play, is this definitely the case or is it a bug.
This is definitely the case. You can't use remote play while on beta firmware for the same reason iirc.
