Just downloaded it and had a quick single play with Pai. Love the xbox one functions of recording and uploading the xbox dvr and then converting to gifs. But they need to sort out the upload ques!

I've always been curious about that. What software do you use to take Xbox DVR clips and convert them to gifs?

I tried same area search and couldn't find anyone. Admittedly it was 2:30am, UK time. I played a run of arcade mode and will try again tomorrow.

They are character specific.

Pick a fighting style you like to get started! Characters tiers are pretty close.

When you record something if you're sharing captures to everyone (default) go to a site like xboxdvr or something and convert the clip there.

VF tier list is completely irrelevant, do your best to ignore that one exists honestly. bottom tier characters win tournaments all the time.
some characters - pai, akira, aoi, others - can reverse attacks, usually with down-back P+K but it's character specific. counter is a term used to describe hitting someone while they're attacking, and is indicated by a yellow flash.

thanks for the advise will keep it in mind. I might try out akira later on just to test out reverse attacks

in training, set CPU to block and counterattack 5. this will alternate between trying to hit you with an elbow and trying to throw you, after blocking your attack. one cool thing you can do with reversals is escape throws while you're in the animation. so whether the CPU uses an elbow or a throw, you'll have the right answer. make sure you do the reversal input first, then the throw escape.
