Why is this one organization the official record and final decider of what is racist and what isn't? Maybe they took a sub-sub-subgroup of the_donald trolls and wanted to make a point and get some headlines out of it? She's allowing inaccurate information on her website where a lot of people look up to her. Many people will take that as fact and believe it, so she is in part responsible for why people think this. One might also argue that her high position also means that she's to be held to a higher standard than most, as what she does and thinks influences those who listen to her.

People using memes to fuel their hate is what resulted in that, but a lot of things that typically are harmless can and do get used by people with malicious intent. Its not right or accurate to call something bad just because bad people happen to be using it. Its poor research and poor reporting.
