You know, I've got a real bone to pick with LEGO City Undercover. After years of hearing good things about the game and just more or less ignoring it because I wasn't terribly in to the LEGO games, I finally had my interest piqued as my son has been really getting into them. Over the summer we had played through LEGO Dimensions and Star Wars Force Unleashed and some of the Harry Potter games, so I decided to just go ahead and bite the bullet and buy Undercover on the eShop at full price. Then like two days later it was announced that it was hitting the Selects line.

Lol. We've all been there at on point or another.

Need to post the tweets for those just joining in now:

Number of people have now told me tomorrow's Red Dead trailer will only be the second biggest gaming announcement of the NeXt couple days...

If you're waiting on official NX reveal its seeming like Tomorrow (Thurs American Time) may finally be the big day from what I'm hearing.

Feel absolutely free to quote in later pages, and even add MORE if any come up! :)

There won't be a direct tomorrow, it'll be an announcement announcement.

I'm surprised there's (allegedly) some sort of reveal tomorrow with absolutely no prior announcement. I expected just a "Hey, there's a direct next Tuesday!" but everyone's making it sound like way more than that.

If a news dump comes with details on the console and media for a game or two, I'm fine. I would like more than just an announcement for the date they will do a proper unveiling, but I'll even take that

So these more direct tweets from game media are saying reveal versus announcement of reveal. Does that sound right? The equally secretive Rockstar had week of tease/announce before the trailer.

So at America o'clock tomorrow Nintendo will go: Here's NX ?

Ballsy/confident of Nintendo to do this on the day of RDR 2 trailer I'll give them that.

Just give me a Direct announcement tomorrow and then air it on Friday on the 5th anniversary of the first Direct. It wouldn't make sense for the whole unveiling to happen tomorrow out of nowhere.

Might be. Rogers and I have been talking about it and I think the most realistic scenario is "Here is the system, here is a game (I think Zelda, she thinks Mario) running on it, we'll talk more in the coming weeks."

My thinking is, if it is coming as abruptly as it seems, then a three minute viral video makes more sense than a 20 minute Direct with little to no warning.

Well what the hell are you guys expecting? They're not gonna drop a Direct about a brand new system without a single warning.

Geez.

Now I'm just wondering what time they will reveal it, early in the day or evening. Is there a time Nintendo is known for this kind of thing?

If Redemption is coming to NX this is more important than just the game, it could open the door to games like GTA , Fallout , Witcher for the console.

I do not believe this until I see evidence so my hype mode is off but if true would be great for NX.

Did you enjoy it at least?

I thought what I played of it was actually really neat. However my son got distracted and hasn't really shown much interest in going back to it and it's not something I want to play on my own without him. I think the single-player only aspect of it was a bit of a downer compared to the normal games he likes to play (LEGO, Disney Infinity, Minecraft) that can be played split screen with myself or my wife. I intend to go back soon though, as he was really into it for a good 3 or 4 days.
