That was AMAZING

The concept is so freaking awesome and there are so many possibilities!!

I think Nintendo nailed it this time (especially with this promo)

My first impression is that it looks too complicated for casuals. Like, there are too many pieces sliding around and what happens if you lose one?

Don’t get me wrong: I think it looks sweet because I’m personally not fazed by a modular concept and I take good care of my stuff. But such a fiddly device seems a bit out of character for Nintendo and I wonder how the concept will play in the general public.

NEW MARIO FOOTAGE LOOKS AMAZING

The whole concept of the device looks absolutely fantastic.

They need to put Smash 4 on every device.

Nintendo seems to be pushing local multiplayer. They hardly had an online presence, but I guess this is so long for good 😥😥

That controller is ugly man. But if it works....

I want specs now.

I fully hate the lack of Dpad. I guess no fighting games or 2d platformers while in portable mode then.

I just really wonder how much play the whole "two controllers in portable mode!!!" will get. Especailly when the 2player modes in those cases will either only be on games that are simple or be dumbed down versions of the normal multiplayer.

Terrible, terrible name.

The actual concept looks pretty well-thought-out, here's hoping the actual experience is as seamless as they're promising.

From an ergonomics standpoint, it may be that in trying to hit all the use-cases, they'll end up with something pretty ungainly. You have a big screen that makes it much less portable, but even at that size the breakout controllers are going to be very small.

Looks like it is exactly what we all thought it was, and thats not a bad thing. As someone who was never a big fan of the DS and 3DS, I and very happy that all Nintendo's games will now be on one system!

Yeah given the current market and where companies are headed it's smart for Nintendo to consolidate. They have the potential to offer an unparalleled experience compared to the Xbox and PS4's game-streaming and interoperability given how much more they control.

I have a Wii U with many games.

I am a bit disappointed. I don't want to carry a tablet everywhere where I also can lose my controllers...also I don't know doesnt look good to me. Looks a bit cheap too.

Huh, kinda want, can see that being something I'd use. I like the idea of all of Nintendo's studios working on one hardware platform... that means more games on it.

Design wise, this feels more like a Sony product than Nintendo. I honestly not sure how to feel about it, on hand it's cool that you can play full games on the go, on the other, what support, battery life, and network infrastructure are they going to use?

What a surprise the same people that always criticize Nintendo are disappointed with a Nintendo product that they'd never have bought regardless of what it was.

Man I'm actually hyped, this looks so so good.

Nope you got them all. And they're amazing! This is awesome! Day 1 buy!
If Bethesda (who never put a game on Nintendo console ) is supporting the switch then I'm betting lots of third parties will too.

Did anyone else notice that the 3D Mario game might be coop?
The girl goes over to her friends and both start to play

He missed Mario Kart....probably BC though

Hm, interesting, but more from the perspective of "it will be interesting to see how the industry and consumers react to a hybrid such as this" than "I'm interested in buying one".

Hopefully the controller design isn't finalized, I dislike the lack of a d-pad, and the offset of the analog controllers (I prefer the dualshock desgin).

Also of note, the benefit to being able to remove controllers from the "handheld", is you can probably rotate the screen 90 degrees to play dual screen 3DS games (assuming backwards compatibility of some sort).

Initial thoughts: the name is dumb as hell, but whatever people get used to them. That new Mario looked nice. I'm just not sure. I was actually fairly optimistic going into this announcement but if that is it, I'm not sure it does much to address the issues that hurt the Wii U and led to declining 3ds market share. I'm not sure the concept is something the mass market is going to be excited by.

Well done Nintendo, it looks good. Decent trailer. I like the look of the Switch itself and the name. The tease of games was good. But the graphics look exactly like WiiU graphics unless I missed something.

Looks like pretty much exactly what I wanted. It's the first time in a long time that something from Nintendo has gotten me truly excited. I think this is going to be big.

Interested to finding out what's inside that docking unit. It's pretty big just for an HDMI out and charger, but that might just be to cover the screen? Surely not.

Pro Controller looked good. Looking forward to gettin my hands on one for a try.

Most promising Nintendo device since the original DS. Really hope we get a full on reveal + game announcements soon.

Even if this thing is a slightly more powerful Wii U it doesn't matter. It's portable, that pretty much trumps everything.

Good for Nintendo fans I guess, there's nothing there wowed me. No one is going to gather around a small screen to play multiplayer, and this just Nintendo "on the go".

Just hoping the specs impress, other than that, decent reveal. Nothing special.
