If you're like me half the fun of a new reveal is seeing other people's reaction. I've been watching reactions/analysis/etc videos for several days now and thought it might be a good idea to round up some of the bigger ones for everyone. I'm making no attempt to pretend this list is exhaustive if you want me to add one I'll attempt to get it up there after I see it.

Overall every single reaction I've seen has been incredibly positive. In fact I've not seen a single outright negative reaction from any big name or professional source. However another recurring theme is people wanting to know more. Ex. Is the battery life really 3 hours? Does the touchscreen work? What games are coming? Which we apparently won't get any official info on until January at the earliest.

Here's a cool video by the folks over at RPG Site discussing potential role-playing games we could see on the Switch. As noted in the video, this topic is pretty relevant considering the Wii U had an abysmal selection of RPGs (meanwhile, the 3DS absolutely thrived in them).

Also, he seems caught up on the Nintendo fans and those who bought the Wii U not being impressed. My problem with this is that Nintendo is clearly trying to reach for a new audience they've never quite addressed before. They know their core fans will buy this thing regardless, but that's not enough

Yeah I appreciated Josh's criticism during the trailer. Served as a nice level contrast to the other reactions. Though I don't agree with all his opinions I dig his honesty.

I saw it live, the two highlights were Damiani getting depressed by the removable controllers part (though he warmed up to the overall concept by the end) and Bloodworth having a revelation during the part where the dude plays Skyrim on the plane. For some reason he loved that.

Part of me wants to give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe his text would come off better if we weren't missing his body language, tone of voice, etc. I dunno.

After watching that reaction I'm going to have to agree... He seems to be upset about things that.. Well either seem hyperbolic, are not in the trailer, or ignore some basic facts. He then gives 2 positives and goes on a rant about Nintendo in general.

I'll go ahead and add it to the OP. Even if I disagree it's important to have contrasting opinions for discussion.

Less than a minute in I had to turn it off. Is his chibi pixel art avatar that looks better than he ever will be IRL really carrying a sword? So edgy. Plus after some digging his last three videos including this one have all about trashing Nintendo. I'm starting to think he doesn't like Nintendo.

Edit: One of his videos was about how Platinum games has declined because Metacritic or some shit. Oh hell no that kills credibility right there.
