Watch Dogs 2 Season Pass Revealed, $39.99

Sounds like a load of junk.

But at least they announced what would be in it so you could make an informed decision instead of selling it to you blind.

3 of these sound interesting to me but $40 is steep for the pack for me. Guess I'll check them out later.

I have yet to find a season pass that has appealed to me. By the time most of the stuff comes out, I've already completed the game and have no interest in going back.

...and $40 is the discounted price of pre-paying for all the DLC included

wonder what the full price of these packs will be

---

Also, this doesn't include the possible pack of PS exclusive content if that's released to other platforms at a later date...recently AC Syndicate had The Dreadful Crimes DLC for PS and it got released eventually for PC at $5 and wasn't included in the Season Pass (I don't think it got released for XB1)

just as a refresher for evryone here are the PS exclusive items

Pre-Order on Playstation Store
ScoutXpedition Mission - Escort a movie studio scout to iconic locations around the city
San Bruno Radio Tower Co-Op location - play co-op missions and unlock the Engineer Suit

PS+ Members
Bitflip Suit - Bonus outfit

Playstation gets all Mission Packs 30 days early

Way better deal if you want to get the game by getting the Gold Edition and get the 20% off one of the gamer clubs.

The retail price(99.99) for the gold is the exact same price if you bought the game and season pass separately smh at 100 bucks

and it looks like it went up 10 dollars it was 89.99 a while back.

Just seems like a bunch of thrown together side missions. Big expansion packs, like CDPR does, or get fucked, publishers. I'm not buying bits and pieces of stuff cobbled together from the development cutting room floor. I even held off on getting the DLC for games I loved, like Mankind Divided, for this reason. Regardless, Watch Dogs 2 is still a rental. The idea of paying money for WD2 after the first is hilarious.

"Game of the year complete ultimate final last chance remastered" edition it is them, plenty of other stuff to play until then.

Russian mafia in modern San Francisco?
el oh fucking el

WD2's story has a lot of potential if they touch upon issues of local government corruption, gentrification, rent control, social services being exhausted & tent cities dotting the city as a result...but I'm not holding out much hope.

WHY DO THEY CONTINUE TO THINK ANYONE LIKES T-BONE?

Beyond me, honestly. Fuck that guy, and when he was revealed in WD2 I was basically

This is both scandalous and a big fuck you to gamers. How can this shit fly? The game has been created in Montreal and I'd have to pay more for something that has been created in my country and helped by our tax dollars (tax breaks and such for UBI MTL).

But this is not why I'm angry. Ubisoft is basically saying they are selling an expansion pack RIGHT NOW before the game is even released. I feel like I'm going to puke. We're looking at $50 CAD worth of skins and missions for something that isn't even out yet.

The industry needs a reset button ASAP. This is just out of control. You'll tell me we are not forced to buy the DLC, but if it's an important part (and in this case they are STORY MISSIONS) of the experience. It's like if I'd sell you GTA VI but with a Season Pass where you get exclusive story missions...this is greedy as fuck. What's next, unlock the ending with a $5 key? Fuck. This. Shit

I was so excited to play this game and it's funny everytime they announce these season pass nonsense it immediately turns me off to the point of losing a purchase. and locking out a difficulty mode?! smfh.

Guess i'll wait for the complete edition on a flash sale next year or a used copy.

Well then.

I'll wait, just like I did for Syndicate and Rainbow Six and get the Gold Edition for $20 at my local Walmart.

Sure, it took almost a year, but I've already got a stupid huge backlog.

Ahhhhh good ol' AAA gaming industry, wanting to charge you 3/4 the price of a full game for what amounts to maybe about 1/10 of the original content.

After The Division I don't think I'll ever buy another Ubisoft Season Pass/Gold Edition ever again. Certainly not at MSRP.

This is sadly the norm for me now. Not to mention lots of games are broken at launch, so if you are an early buyer, you are basically a QA tester. Not true of every game dev, but too many cases that what I'm comfortable with. Seeing so many pre-orders and season passes incentives just makes me sick. I will vehemently fight these practices. There's truly something that has been lost with videogames after the PS2/Gamecube era. I feel like most games are soulless now and just pure cash grabs. If devs would put 1/10 of the efforts in making actual content instead of marketing they'd have rich experiences.

edit: I'm more and more worried about Fractured But Whole now, please don't ruin it Ubisoft...

I'll pass on this season pass. They got me for the Division season pass. Not again.

Make matters worst I got the season pass for the first Watch Dogs.

Nope, nope not again.

That's not even close to worth it.

On the bright side, maybe it means that they didn't cut too much content from the base game to sell as DLC.

None of the stuff in the pass makes me enthusiastic to get it and that's ok. I can always get the things individually
at 15$ I bet.

I remember watchdogs 1, a handful of 15-20minute missions that were clones of main world junk. Also jesus christ, the price, REALLY?

Ahhh, I remember back in my day when season passes were $20. I can remember it like it was a year ago. Oh wait, that's because it was. This is straight fucking robbery. Their basically making you pay twice the price for one game. I've never bought a season pass and never plan to. If it's not good enough to include in the main game, I don't need it.

Hello, my name is Yves Guillemot, Vivendi S.A.'s Employee of the Month!
WHY DO THEY CONTINUE TO THINK ANYONE LIKES T-BONE?
Because people like different things than you.

He's the obligatory vague stoner-type that ubisoft loves in their open worlds.
Care to make a list? Because T-Bone is most definitely not a common archetype in their games, (he's a drinker not a stoner) especially the vague part, the last time I remember them putting stoners in their game was fc3+4 for comic relief as minor characters.

On the one hand I'm glad these season passes keep being so shit I don't have to buy them. On the other hand I'm terrified of the day where they're not and I end up having to boycott every game until the goty/complete edition comes out.

Almost the same price I buy my brand new games...but for a season pass with useless clutter. This business model is fucked.
