Looking forward to playing Necro again, but this was a pretty big disappointment. I was hoping for an actual remaster of Diablo or Diablo 2 or an expansion for Diablo 3. Paid DLC isn't the most thrilling announcement.

I'd pay $50 for diablo 3 with necromancer so the news is amazing to me

I asume that you don't have the game?

Fuck!!! I'm late!!! What did I miss?!!!!

Son, you may want to sit down for this...

1. Diablo 1 "revamp" at Diablo 3. Torment LvL of Trolling.
2. Necromancer and "other awesome" stuff next year as DLC because, why not
3. 2 new recicle areas for Adventure.
4. We are in the darkest Time Line.
5. Nothing make sense anymore.
6. Blizzard send a love/hate letter to Diablo fans.

Ouch, ball dropped pretty hard for that ending. This is the first virtual ticket I've bought and feel like this was a bad year to start.

I made sure my expectations were set to low, and that Diablo section (the whole thing really) was still a disappointment.

My expectations were already as low as they could go and i'm still pissed off about this.

Diablo 1 in the Diablo 3 engine? RIP that fucking game's atmosphere.

Nothing about Diablo 2.

No Diablo 3 expansion.

Necro as part of a paid pack along with 2 new areas for that wondrous extra 30 min of content, so even with a new class, there's not a damn thing new and interesting to actually do in the fucking game.

No Diablo 4.

Everything was fine except for Diablo.

Literally the worst outcome. I didn't even think it could have gone that badly.

Character pack? Not even an expansion?

And no D2 HD

What a joke

Well. D1 semi-remake, 2 new zones with a patch - presumably coming with season 9 - and Necromancer... in 2017. As paid DLC.

"20 years of a franchise beloved by all. Here's how we show our apprectiation. Meanwhile, please enjoy how we give literally every other of our franchises more attention."

I'll still get it. D4 when, however?

well that was shit. Who wants Diablo 1 in diablo 3? Probably nobody. Go play the original if you want to experience the first diablo game. What did your market research tell you? Well, probably that people want Diablo 4 and not still play crappy diablo 3.

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
guys...

i don't even know what to say or do anymore..

i'm so sorry for everything... i'm terribly sorry, I don't even know how to compensate the clusterfuck that was the opening ceremony

i jusdt dont know

... you buy the virtual ticket for panels and/or the in game goodies. All the announcements and tournaments are free to watch.

Enjoying these conferences is easy if you keep your expectations in check. A big announcement would have been nice, but I suspected it was too soon - Blizz just released two big products this year.

Diablo III is so long in the tooth at this point. I was really confused by their little mini-packs for StarCraft II, and with Diablo III it seems even weirder. They keep adding tiny new zones in Adventure that seem like aborted ideas for full areas in a hypothetical D4 as well as more post-game quality of life features and functionality, which is neat if you're somehow just jumping in now, but a game like this needs at least a full expac to keep excitement up. It feels like it's been years since they put the game into a holding pattern where it felt like a second expansion or full sequel was coming in a year or two, but it's just kept going on. Now they're selling a new class as part of some kind of DLC pack three years after the last paid expansion?

- New Character for Overwatch
- New map for Overwatch
- New Hearthstone expansion
- 2 new heroes for Heroes of the Storm
- New pirate thing for Heros of the Storm
- Diablo 1 and Necromancer (paid DLC for Necro) in Diablo 3 RoS
- DeepMind is making AI to be good at Starcraft so pls play Starcraft 2

This is REALLY bad. You know your show sucks when the most significant announcement is a hearthstone pack (something they don't even usually do at Blizzcon).

They shouldn't have spent the money on an entire convention if their content is THIS bare bones. I understand the biggest draw is the esports scene so renting out space to just accommodate that would have been better. I feel REALLY bad for people who bought digital tickets or went their in person to see some cool stuff.

Edit: Like, all this could have been just some announcement on their webpage except for Hearthstone expansion.
