Watch Dogs 2 Full Copies Out in The Wild and on youtube

Watching that Pro footage, the streets look deserted and kind of static. They could really use more civilians and traffic to liven things up and make the city feel more lived in.

Yeah the world looks so empty!

Hardly any cars and people around.

That totally ruins the immersion and turned me off buying it.

After watching a bit more gameplay I can't help but feel that I'll get really bored really quickly with this game. The world and hacks appear to be quite boring and not something that after a couple hours I would want to further explore or mess around with. I think I may just be bored with modern American cities in video games in general though.

I say this in the most positive way possible:

It's totally obvious that after Ubisoft finished WD1, they gave everyone on the dev team a copy of GTA V and said "Study this." It just has a very similar vibe.
I felt the daytime parts I played before, visually looked a lot like GTAV imo. I've thought the overall style of graphics have been strikingly similar since the first WD2 trailer. WD2 to me looks like an even more HD GTAV.

Night time however I can't help but feel it has a kind of Fox Engine look going for it. Night time scenes remind me of MGSV style lighting etc. It's hard to explain but it feels like the lighting and PBR has been ripped straight out of MGSV during the night time. Especially the first mission.

IMO, while they would add to the immersion, I feel they would make navigating the city more irritating and probably hamper the performance of the game.

This is the same company that made AC:Unity, which had thousands of people on screen, but the performance and ability to move around in that game was abysmal.

So I am ok with them taking the less assets route if the game actually functions properly, and movement is not a chore.

Judging from the videos.

Good: World looks beautiful. Marcus and other characters are interesting. I like the Mr. Robot storyline with a much lighter tone.

Bad: City looks dead.. driving looks bad. Gameplay is exactly the same as the first one.

Not getting it day1... and maybe I'll just pass altogether. Doesn't really seem that special. Driving looks really bad.

Just got my copy. Be playing on PS4 Pro

The main menu currently says this:

So the issues in the videos were more likely problem with servers than with the game itself.

Might need to stop sniffing glue
My copy was originally supposed to ship yesterday. The rest is self explanatory. Effing Amazon. It's like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.

Anyone know what this is running on the ps4 pro? Looks like 1440 upscaled at most to me. It's fairly sharp but not 4k native or close to 4k native sharp.

time to take my meds
Probably wait to pick this up when at discount, way too many games coming soon and a big backlog right now.

I would like to know how the city compares to something like Gta 5 in atmosphere , things like car density , pedestrian reactions , random events , uniquely feeling locales etc

I've watched about an hour of gameplay and it still feels really sterile compared to gta5 . Can't quiet put my fingure on why .

Perhaps is the euphoria animations etc or just not as many random events / random chatter going on .

City itself looks gorgeous but still abit sterile .

Fantastic screens Hurricane43

Driving sections have obvious stuttering and even tearing, look at for example 18:21

Though it could be the same issue as Eurogamer, where it works fine for a while.

I think I know what's happening here, the slowdown happens when another person joins your world for co-op. Seems like a solid 30fps in single player.

And low resolution, why 4K screenshots showing low res game?

Because it is not a native 4K game on the Pro.

Some insane black crush in some of the pictures above. Is it your TV settings or the game itself?

I don't even know what black crush is, don't notice it when free roaming, the game is beautiful.... And it is the most fun i have had in an open world in my life.... Love it...

From my first couple hours (PS4)

Pros
+ Soundtrack is awesome
+ Better driving mechanics (From WD1)
+ Better overall gameplay (From WD1)
+ Beautiful UI

Cons
- Jaggies, jaggies everywhere
- Game has crashed over 10 times in the first 2 hours
- Everything has a fuzzy look to it
- Sounds cuts out for around 5 seconds every 5 minutes

Hopefully the Pro version will take care of those?
I know people are playing it on a Pro, but was it confirmed to be patched?

Huh... Certainly doesn't look like it. Not as clean as tlou in 1800. Looks great though!

Hows the HDR in this game?

Doesn't have it at least on the PS4 Pro.

By the way the game mentions open multiplayer where it auto merges you into people's worlds is broken right now and causing major fps issues. Could be what we saw on streams. So they've disabled it and hope to fix it soon. Says on the main menu. I'm hoping they get it sorted by launch.
