It didn't kick it out of my cart like the last time, but I got farther than the two previous days.

Might just go with a scalper if I'm really jonsing.

Stop trying to spread sanity. Some Nintendo fans are allergic to things that make sense. With all this shortage stuff, though, people have completely overlooked the fact that there is no way this thing is worth $60 when it really should be $40 now and maybe $20 after Christmas. That's when I'll be picking mine up, because it is a fun looking little toy.

>Says stop trying to spread sanity
>Immediately argues about a completely subjective value of worth

We are having the same issues in Australia. I pre-ordered mine so was able to get it day 1. It's a neat little device but it plays the same games you have already played. I understand Nintendo have tried to create demand here but it just seems a little silly at this point.

Oh for fucks sake knock it off.

Nintendo is shitty at forecasting demand, and conservative about production run sizes, but they aren't trying to take demand. They'd be making WAY more money if they had more stock. When supply catches up after xmas a lot of potential customers will have said fuck it.

Why does Nintendo of America even have a USA online store
They can easily do all sales final, pre orders X orders that say will ship next month X whenever they make more
Cmon , even nintendos UK online store had amiibos while the USA store didn't

It's half created shortages X not expecting demand due to not wanting animal crossing amiibos sitting on shelf situations

Thats why I was surprised to to time to check out twice.

Nice score! I figured I was lucky to get the one and didn't bother trying again.

I am sure people are going to hate this but... Part of peoples rage is their own doing. No one needs a NES classic. They will be out in the wild soon enough. Probably before Christmas even. Also its not like this is the first time anyone can play these games.

Well to be fair, this seems like a nice Christmas gift, so I can understand the urge to lock it down because getting one after Christmas won't do them any good. For personal use, ya I'm right there with you, but I'm in the hunt for Christmas gifts personally.

Who said they arent going to have enough supply before christmas. We are 36 days away from christmas eve. I would not be surprised to see this sitting on shelves before the holiday run is over.

Scalpers hit certain toys around the holidays every year. This happens with everything Nintendo does and is fucking stupid.

No reason they couldn't stock a $60 nostalgia box meant for the holidays. It's intentional or tone deaf.

Scalpers hit everything year around. It's just annoying and only inconveniences customers for their short term gain.

And there it is.

I refuse to believe a multi million dollar company doesnt have at least a few moderately intelligent people that would easily see the demand for something like this and proceed to instruct to make more.

Seriously, no company is this stupid.

We are still a week away from black friday and people are going mad for this. The fact people are paying for scapler prices now, knowing that more are on the way is just silly. Why not wait and test your luck. Prices are not going to get higher. Actually as supply has been coming in the prices have been dropping even on ebay.

Eh, if it isn't really easy to get one around Black Friday I can see people freaking out and the prices getting even higher on eBay for the Christmas rush.

Oh ya, paying a scalper price is dumb. I refuse to do that. I'm just saying I get the mad rush trying to get one when you can. I'll keep trying until Christmas and if it doesn't pan out, it doesn't pan out. If it was for me personally, I'd just wait until I didn't have to put any effort into it.

Yeah but we are still talking about a month more of supply coming in. which should reduce demand. I say there is a couple weeks left of this scalper game and the bottom falls out.

it wont. This is the company that thought it would be a good idea to release a limited edition handheld on Black Friday. So maybe they ARE just that frickin stupid....

Nintendo has been releasing limited edition products on Black Friday for at least a decade now, if not longer.

Why does Wal-Mart show in stock for $240 ? What the fuck? I'm in a live chat to find out why, if it is really in stock, and if I can price match. I'm guessing the answer is going to be "No, no, no."

These disgusting scalpers trying to take advantage of people when the eyes are on the Walmart site. I don't understand why places like Walmart and Amazon are letting scalpers list their stuff. They really should make a rule against that.

I'm so dumb. My monitor at work doesn't have speakers on it so there isn't any sound. Damn it. I went and got a monitor with HDMI on it for nothing. D:

I use the included controller for player 2 and an old Wii classic controller for myself. Not as authentic, but having a button on the controller to access the main menu and save states is a godsend, especially for shit like Zelda 2. WHY ARE THE BLUE IRON KNUCKLES SO DAMN HARD.

They work so hard to hide the existence of third-party sellers because they make so much off the back end, and you want them to start policing the big meanies who make the price bigger?

I'm having problems with my NES Classic and my A/V receiver. The console works when plugged directly into the TV, but when connected to an input on the receiver using the same HDMI cable, the TV gets no signal (and I hear no sound out of the speakers, either). The receiver is a mid-level Denon. Any ideas?

Your receiver might not support the version of HDMI NES is trying to use.
Although, I'd be surprised if it needs anything above HDMI 1.1
I had the same thing with PS4 and my receiver, just had to go direct to TV.

Are you using a front or rear HDMI port? If front, try rear. If rear doesn't work either, dunno. Lots of other people have posted about front not working.

I don't quite fully understand what you are trying to say, but what I am proposing is this: When new, hard to find "collectable" type items are released, I think they should block the ability for third parties to sell these items for a period of time (say 1-3 months.) It is complete bullshit, in my mind, that people can get lucky buying a unit off Amazon and turn right around and list it for $200+ on the site they bought it from, BEFORE they even receive the item. A) this just adds fuel to the frenzy and B) people get tricked into buying the stuff (and I know is seems silly, but I have heard countless stories of this happening.)

It takes roughly 3 months to create more production lines of just about any piece of electronics.

I was able to get a controller off Wal-Mart's website today. I had it saved in the cart from my previous failed attempts. I just hammered on the Checkout button at 4:59pm EST until it finally went to the checkout process.

My delivery dates is estimated to be Wednesday November 23rd. Has anyone had theirs ship yet from previous days? Are the estimated dates accurate? I paid for the next shipping cost to get it a little earlier so I hope I didn't pay more for a date that isn't accurate.

Yeah, and it's a waste if it's not going to be an ongoing line with that same capacity.

I wonder on the actual numbers they have made. So we know the Fami one sold 1/4 million and sold out in 2-3 days, surely worldwide the had a million of the NES in the channel. That's actually quite a lot for a brand new line, but demand is just so high.

They may have blown their shot at being the #1 console in sales this holiday though, I was hoping that would happen for the lulz.

I got mine in the mail today - and I picked up two NES Classic controllers at Wal-Mart on Tuesday (shipped to store.)

I'm seriously debating selling this thing and buying family members more Christmas presents with the money. I wouldn't normally, but it looks like $200 is a -normal- sale price on eBay at the moment.

Am I crazy? I feel like there's a sure chance of getting one of these between now and, say, March -- but eBay is essentially 20% in charges, so a $200 sale = $160 in real sales. $100 for the chance of something going horribly wrong.

(Seriously, if I could get 2-3 more, I think I'd be giving these out as Christmas presents to my brothers-in-law.)

The controls seem fine, but I am "feeling" a tiny audio/sound lag in some games. I tried sound direct to the TV and it -might- be better... not sure. I'll try SMB and SMB3 again later.

I placed an order for two NES controllers on Friday -- they arrived at my local store on Tuesday. Granted, I did store pickup, but the delivery seemed fairly quick.

My wife got through the Walmart selling today, but it's been sitting at processing since it went up. Guessing that's going to get canceled. Oh well.

The NES Classic Controller is... weirdly lightweight.

I'm going to have to dig out one of my old NES controllers, but the new one seems much lighter...
