I am personally really looking forward to the OT. If people stay on topic and on point I think the thread could thrive for a long time and could be fun to talk to fans in.
If a large , diverse group of players flood the OT it could be great.
There wont be enough time for hivemind negativity to take over.

Yesterday I watched the party fight the level 29 scorpion.
It constantly went after Ignis and he managed to last about a minute to a minute and a half before he took a single hit.
Watching him dodge and attack seamlessly was really cool to watch. He's by far the most maneuverable of the 3. I want to test how effective they are with the counter attack skills but I'll wait till I get the full game before I do that.
This might not mean much to other people but allied AI is a big deal to me. I expect them to be competent so they can carry the weight with me instead of dragging me down like they do in way too many games.

I wasn't even selling it to make a profit, I bought a PS4Pro (unplanned) and I'm out of money.
I'd feel better about some other collectors, but this literally should not have the word "ultimate" in its name given how terrible it is, next year there will be a true ultimate version -_- . . .

I bought a PS4Pro because I said that I'll buy one(and give it to my cousin after I'm done with XV) if the Pro Enhancements and the general improvements to IQ would be good enough after the delay. (would have waited for the eventual PC version otherwise, still gonna rebuy it there in the future)
Also fuck no season pass and other goodies except for the car and suit and packs at that price, scam tbh.

So I just fought an iron giant at night. At first I wast getting wasted. Made sense because he was 23 levels higher than me. I kept losing my team and just crawling away until he disengaged. I'd repeat to try to get his health down. But I noticed sometimes his health went up. But I didn't give up. I ended up figuring out you can cheese the fight by constantly using an ally's special and following it up. I only had Ignis so I kept using him. This destroyed his health. I also figured out I had to counter attack after his giant sword connected with mine. Noctis just smacked him up and threw a fireball in his face. So essentially I won with two guys.
I hope this isn't how the full game works. I mean I want it to be possible to take on enemies that are over your level, but it felt like I shouldn't have been able to win like that.

And yes, there are plenty of people showing off their skills on youtubes, so my scrubby display is not really contributing, but eh, seeing how combat can look like at different skill levels is better imo...

My only other concern at the moment is how things feel in the world. Haven't seen too many interesting things when just roaming the world on the way to places. After watching that video that shows off the crazy variety of monsters and wild life, I'm hoping the demo or the area just happens to not have much.
I hate to be worrying about stuff like this, but it's been 10 years since this game was announced. We're 10 days away. I just want it to be awesome and not another game that falls for being open world but not interesting.

It looks really cool, I wonder how it'll deal with large groups of enemies, though.
But I do think the normal camera goes further back when necessary, so it's probably not exclusive to that mode.
If you're still playing the demo, any chance you could capture screenshots of the three camera modes in the same battle? It's ok if you don't feel like it, it's probably a pain in the ass to do it
It could work for solo boss battles.
It kind of does. At least the normal camera changes a bit, but I think it's based on enemy size, not quantity.
Better than The Witcher 3 with vegetation that pops away once you get into a 5 meter radius of it's vicinity. XD

Yeah I wouldn't mind if it was smarter about making foliage invisble/transparent when it's coming in the way of the camera.
This has to be a joke right? Game is unplayable when you are near objects in FFXV demo... if there is a bush nearby? You cant see shit.
W3 never had objects fuck my field of view. FFXV ignores that completely.
I am sure though, that upon release this will be addressed completely.
Now as far as the frame pacing, well I have concerns...
Well it's not like Witcher ran any decent at launch on ps4.

How do you change the time from day to night? I went to a camp and it looked like a clock popped up, but I didn't see anyway to change it.
