With Knack 2 Being Announced, When's The Order 1886's Sequel?

When comparing the two on metacritic, Knack has an average review score of 54, while The Order 1886 has one of 63. Of course one could argue that Knack came out about three years ago, while The Order 1886 is soon to hit just two years and therefore Knack deserves a sequel first
(I guess).

I, personally, would love to see a sequel with a greatly expanded campaign and options such as co-op and a horde mode, but seeing as everyone was bashing the game just because it was short, really was unfortunate. I guess if it released at a $40 price tag rather than full price it would have been more well received.

Just wanted to know all of your thoughts on if there should be a sequel and if so, when and what is your wishlist?

This is not to trash on Knack or anything because that game is more than competent on it's own and I have certainly have had a lot of fun with it.

EDIT: Seems like Cerny
and money
are the driving forces behind Knack 2.

EDIT 2: Can't really find any real sales figures for either game. I mean there is the dreaded site that we shall not mention
(chartz)
that has them tied at 1.73 million copies sold. According to that, there are really low sales in Japan for The Order compared to Knack (not surprised).

EDIT 3: Budget was a heck of a lot less for Knack, but don't they still have the assets for The Order?

I wouldn't be surprised if a big reason for Knack 2 is to keep Mark Cerny happy. Ready at dawn doesn't get such benefits.

The Order was honestly one of the prettiest games Ive ever played. I wish it had better gameplay and was longer. Im down for a sequel.

Well RAD isn't doing it, it's Sony's IP. I can't see any other internal studio touching this with a ten foot pole.

So it's not going to happen.

Funnily enough I enjoyed both games quite a bit.

What does this have to do with getting a sequel? Sales determine whether a game gets a sequel, not scores on metacritic.

The reason you're not getting a sequel is because it didn't sell.

Still believe that The Order: 1887 is Ready At Dawn's third game in development. E3 2017 baby!!! Believe!!!

I enjoyed Knack for what it was (6/10) but enjoyed The Order: 1886 more (8/10) and would much rather play a sequel to The Order over Knack.

i think sony's just trying to cover their appeal to "the younger crowd"... they already have an idle IP, so why not dust it off.

i don't think the response to the first game is relevant here. launch game, most early adopters being 20-30 somethings

The Order might have been flawed in a myriad of ways, but that's still a sequel I actually want.

Knack was just shit and deserves to be forgotten about. Knack 2 is going to flop like a motherfucker, mark my words. It won't have a console launch to save it this time.

I mean I'm surprise that they wanted to continue on a joke and now you want them to make a bigger pile of shit?

No pls.

Knack sold better I'm pretty sure. The Order does deserve a sequel though. Game felt like the first chapter of a much bigger and deeper world. I would definitely want gameplay changes.

The Order looked like and likely was an incredibly expensive game compared to Knack. There's not a lot of business sense for Sony to bring it back when they've already got the big cinematic shooter game on lockdown with Naughty Dog. There's really no one that's going to be disappointed by its non-starter status, unless you really believe that Underworld: Victorian Edition is the bee's knees.

I mean, I like The Order as much as the guy next to the guy next to the other guy, but we're talking about the sequel to the GOTG here.
