What I miss most about SF4 are the combos. They had their uses like with Decapre having meaty set ups after her slide or using Sting xx FADC to get out or corners. Even playing Deejay was fun to play unlike the low tier characters in SFV. I can't stress how much I hate Juri in this game because of her limitations.

Also it had footsies just like previous installment.

If the channel they run, and subsequently any income attached to it is in jeopardy over leaks, why not create an alternate persona and leak from that account?

Yeah, I don't get why the UI is so often shit on. It's boring but mostly efficient. I really disliked the UIs for SF4 and SFxT despite them being more flashy.

I guess that the only reason to believe Season 2 leaks without evidence is because the source was right in the past. If he creates a new identity it doesn't validate anything.

With that said, that post reads so fake that it's only convincing me that he somehow guessed the Marvel news correctly. Did he get any other leaks right in the past?

Have been playing ST, 3s, and Garou on fightcade the past week while waiting for season 2, though!

Quick question: If I buy a character with Fight Money, can I still buy the Season Pass associated with that character later on? Or does the store lock me out of it?

You can still buy the Season Pass but you won't get the FM you spent on the character back.

It's best to buy the season pass earlier on, or not buy it at all IMO cause otherwise you're just throwing FM out the window in a way.

Oh okay, that's cool, I figured I wouldn't get the Fight Money back. I'm taking my PS4 to my family's for the holidays & I want to play as Akuma, but I also want us to play Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. So it's either that or the Season 2 Pass for SFV.

I'm on team #Capcomtrolling and that 4th silhouette is actually Sakura. "Completely new" actually means they're not in SFV yet so they "new".

They explained that they mean that those characters have not been playable before in the street fighter series.

I can definitely see there just being a miscommunication. We should know sooner than later, though. I'm curious if Capcom's plan is to get the characters out before Evo for the sake of the CPT or to space them out to keep interest in the game. Akuma is coming pretty early.

Not sure whether to buy the season 2 pass and spend m fight money on stages and alt costumes or spend the FM on season 2 characters. If the pricing remains consistant then just buying the battle outfits on all new characters would cost not much under the season pass cost anyway.

Might be better overall buying the season 2 pass with real money.

Its worth getting the season pass as it also includes the colors for the default costume. Its definitely a time saver by buying the season pass.

Yeah im thinking keeping FM for all the other stuff actually works out better overall.

edit. Purchased it. can buy some stages and story costumes now.

It was at capcom cup.
If i remember correctly first they showed akuma at psx conference with the picture of the silhouettes that people were speculating on and then they clarified what they meant at the tournament.

Actually he said they are new to the sf universe and not that they have not been playable. I assumed that is what he meant, maybe it isn't.

Depends on if they mean new to the Street Fighter Universe or new to the Street Fighter 5 Universe.

If it's the former, then we have no idea. If it's the latter, then yes it could easily be one or all of those.

Though most people seem to be assuming that it is indeed the latter. The recurring theory is that the first silhouette is Helen/Kolin which does make sense.

Yeah, it could everything from completely new to a character from another Capcom game to a character from the shared universe Street Fighter inhabits (with Final Fight, Slammasters, Rival Schools, Captain Commando, etc.) to EX characters as they weren't canon to the Street Fighter universe to crossover characters from other games like Tekken.

I'm only confident in at least one of them being a guest character if the "brand new to the SF universe thing" is accurate.

In the first pic versus is highlighted but the image panel says survival. Why?

I guess this was noticed in the reddit thread as well.

Not always. Obviously when big events hit, people will want their favorite game to get more time, and again that's a-okay. Just shitting allllll over SFV, Tekken, or whatever constantly does little for your game at the end of the day.

Just realized that menu screen leak means no arcade mode still.

Where's the origin of the rumor of arcade mode being added to SFV anyway?

I just hope they're fixing the minor stuff like training mode settings being saved, character/stage theme toggle and Player 2 being able to select rematch/char select screen. It can't be that hard after all these months right?

The thumbs up at tournaments has become a staple of SF5. No need to change it now.

There was a huge backlash for the lack of an arcade mode and it has been the most requested addition, i don't think people care for the Extra Battle mode that much but i didn't know Extra Battle was coming with this update and i guess they may want to surprise us. I personally doubt it but who knows.
