Video hidden in Watch Dogs 2 - New Ubisoft Sci-fi IP?

Cowboy Bebop

This LOL

The second half wasn't but that guitar at the beginning was so Bebop-like lol.

So glad I popped in here and the first thing I saw was people talking about Cowboy Bebop. This is almost definitely not a Cowboy Bebop game, but if it can be anywhere close to that vibe I'm totally down.

Yeah, it's obviously not but that was the first thing I scrolled through to see how many mentioned it. :)

Some context

This wasn't a main story mission, It was a (hidden?) side mission that opened up after I stumbled upon a guy on the phone who happened to be a Ubisoft employee talking about Assassins Creed Syndicate, Unity and "Osiris" leaks.

This is why I think this is a real game, why mention other real games only to then show a fake game made just for Watch Dogs?

(The building also had an Assassins creed movie poster on it)

Thanks, added your context explanation to the opening post.

I still wish they had made a new pirate IP after Black Flag :(

Who said they're not?

Interesting!

oh, huh, finally this is starting to get teased. Knew very little about it just before I left ubi over two years ago and never actually saw any in-game stuff. Interesting!

INTERESTING!

I hope this is a real game. :p The space game genre has seen a ressurgence, which is imo great, but it still sourly lacks an entry by a bigger publisher with larger budgets and experienced studios.

So far, space games are mostly dominated by Indie and Kickstarter games (Space Engineers and the likes), an "AAA" crowdfunding project that may or may not see release sometime in the next decade, but sells 400$ .jpg dreams in the meanwhile and by Elite Dangerous, which is at the "high profile" end of Indie and Kicsktarter projects, but is nowhere near as good as it is visionary with its 400 billion star systems, player grind and balance that gets patched into oblivion every other update.

If Ubisoft delivers something worthwhile, I'm absolutely in.

Eh. It's either just a made up thing (they literally refer to it as an in-universe IP) or it's a teaser for AC Egypt.

Nobody else made noise about this since the game's release weeks ago because the game touts it as an in-universe fictional franchise.

Edit:

Heads up.

Ubi looking for playtesters for a sci fi game.

That's all folks.

Make what you want of this

Oh.

Actually they ask if play testers already have VR experience, if they like Co Op play, if they like board games/ Role Play.

that's it. can't say more lol don't have anything more.

VR and co-op sounds like their Star Trek bridge crew game, for what it's worth. Likely not related to this.

Oh.

Even before that post, IIRC Kotaku basically reported it existed too, though it was apparently facing a troubled development.
